sammy trudged through the coffee shop, it was a quaint one. bright lights that illuminated the room from the blazing london sun. the smell of fresh brew beneath her nose.

sammy sat in her seat, fluffing the chair a bit. she decided to wait a bit, taking in the strong aroma.

until a boy came in, he was wearing skinny jeans with his hair in a bit a sideways swoosh. he had a black sweater on that caught sammy's eye. he went up to the cashier, asking for a black coffee. how cliche, sammy thought chuckling to herself.

"hey can i sit here?" the boy asked, looking at the empty seat across from her. she nodded her head, but in her mind she was groaning.

sammy, being the person she is, started a bit of boring conversation.

"i see you have an iphone 6, i have one too." she says, patting the dust off her legs. he chuckles.

"uh, yeah. its kinda mainstream, if you think about it." he said. she nods her head. she glares at the boy a little bit more, noticing something.

"you look familiar do i know you from somewhere?" she asked. the boy speaks quietly answering her questions.

"i'm a very loyal londoner i guess." sammy giggles.

"oi, you think you're funny mate?" she says, smirking. he nods his head, smiling.

"bet all the girls like you." she adds, making him grin a bit more.

"what about you?" he shyly says, hoping she doesn't hear.

"you're like a 7/10." she chuckles. he laughs, looking down then back up.

"would it be cheesy if i said a pick up line?" he asks. sammy giggles, before nodding.

"you're a 9/10 and i'm the one you need." he said, trying to hold in his laughter. sammy burst out laughing, making everyone glance at her in amazement.

this neighborhood was usually quiet, perfect, and chipper. everyone was happy, even there was a gaping hole in their life.

"that was bad!" she screams at him, still laughing. josh grins, happy to make her smile.

"would you like to go for a walk?" josh asks. sammy was quite stunned. they just met, he could be a unsafe person.

"i won't do anything, i swear." he added, making her smile.

"okay, fine." sammy said, he holds out his hand, sammy was hesitant at first but took his hand. her grin reached from corner to corner, showing off her tiny dimples.

"so, did you just moved to london or?" josh says. sammy nods before answering.

"i moved here awhile ago, around 6 months, from guernsey." she quietly spoke, which was difficult from the bustling of taxis and drivers.

"ah, i have a friend from guernsey. he visits there often." he added.

"i left because of my ex, he broke up with me." she said, quiet sadly. memories start flooding back of the blonde haired boy who stole her heart.

"must be a douche." he mumbles. sammy smiles, hitting his arm.

"sorry to make a downer on things, how about you what do you do?" sammy questions. josh stays quiet before commenting.

"just a regular guy, i live with my friends." josh kept quiet about his youtube career, thinking it would scare her off.

"oh that's cool, i live on my own." sammy spoke. her and josh sat on the bench, tired from walking.

"doesn't it get lonely?" josh scratches his neck hearing what sammy has to say.

"yeah, this actually the most i've talked to someone this month." she says with a little giggle.

"you're worth talking to." josh blurted, covering his mouth after.

"awh, thank you. you're pretty interesting too." she told him.

"i should be going, i'll see you 'round soon yeah?" he says, standing up. sammy looks up at the tall boy, glancing at his eyes.

"i'll see you around, i hope." she says. and with that the tall boy was out of sight, leaving sammy a little bit down. she created a bond with the boy.

she then realizes she never got his name. she hoped to see him in the near future. for now he's known as "coffee boy".
