"What do we do with them?" Lily asked as they watched the two marooned men argue on shore.

"We can't leave them there." Kat said unhappily. "What if a muggle ship were to come by and try to pick them up? I don't think they know they are over two hundred years in the future. We are responsible for them."

Regulus cleared his throat. "Actually, the island gives off something magical. I am not sure if muggles can see it."

"Yes," Kat replied. "I did find it strange that it was abandoned."

Sirius had a gleam in his eyes. Kat, Lily and James frowned when they spotted it. Prongs' eyes locked with Sirius' and the gleam seemed to catch. Remus and Regulus simply sighed in resignation.

"It seems as if we are going to explore the island." Kat said resigning as well. James looked at her surprised. "We are outnumbered if you think about it."

Sirius whooped and hurried to get a longboat ready. A few minutes later he was rowing them to shore. He seemed to be having fun now playing a pirate. The whole thing was giving James another headache.

He sat with Kat at the bow of the ship rubbing his temple. Kat put her arm around him. James sighed and hugged her back allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder. "I missed you." He whispered, but Kat had suddenly dropped to sleep.

"She has had too much excitement," Remus explained. "Adrenalin rushes through the body taking energy. That is the reason people faint as well."

James nodded. The future was a fascinating place.

They soon bumped against the shore. Prongs, Lily, Remus and Regulus jumped out with their wands at the ready. James stayed to make sure the boat was secure before waking Kat and helping her out.

"Parley?" Jack said holding up his hands.

Barbossa hung his head in disgust. How had he ended up here on this island with Jack. He was beginning to feel that the Turners had effected him as well; made him soft.

James stood to the side of Remus keeping a halfhearted, struggling Kat behind him. "You are not in your world anymore, Sparrow. You are two hundred years into the future. As much as I hate to admit it Beckett was right.

"Piracy, as the two of you have come to know it is gone. All of the gold and buried treasure has been found. All of the world has been explored. Men no longer explore the seas; they explore the sky and not just what we can see..."

The two pirates stared at James as if he had gone mad. James sighed not knowing what else to say to the two men to get them to understand. Kat tried.

"Our options are limited," She said. "We can't send you back. You were supposed to stay where Calypso sent you; time will change if we send you back. You could do something, introduce two people and one or all of us may not exist. Are you getting us now?"

"So you are saying we wont be going home?" Jack said.

"Yes, Sparrow." James said. "You can't go home."

Barbossa took a step forward. "So what do you suggest?" He growled.

Kat turned away. She could not face the options in her head.

"Why don't they just stay here?" Regulus asked. "We can secure the island and provide them whatever they need. That way they can... keep living the way they normally would and not interfere with our lives."

Jack looked insulted. "You aren't very discrete, are you?"

Regulus sneered at him. Some things did not change about him. "I am thinking logically. James easily adjusted to our world. He has the connection with Kat, but you... you wont adjust."

"Aye," Barbossa said finally. "If there be no more adventure in this world we might as well end things here."

Jack pouted. "Fine." He sat down on the ground and crossed his legs.

"You have the island to explore," said Lily. "And who knows what you might find."

Already there was a fountain of endless rum, from Sirius' wand and a little mound of appearing and disappearing gold. There were pleanty of fruit trees and so they would be well cared for.

James seemed satisfied, especially when Kat assured him that they could not get off the island. Jack still seemed pouty as they climbed back into their boat. Barbossa was staggering along the beach clearly dividing the island.

"Well," Kat said once they were on their way home. "I hope we can get back to our peaceful life."

"I could not agree more." James said.

They stood at the bow of their ship. James had his arm around her waist and she stood with her head on his shoulder. She played with the buttons on his shirt as they sped home. She felt warm and happy despite the cold wind blowing upon them.
