Reunion

Note: Sorry this took so long. I have been away. Onward with the story!

Kat and James arrived in the Leaky Cauldron's huge fireplace. James coughed as Kat guided him out and dusted him off. Tom was waiting for them on the other side. He smiled st them toothlessly. Kat turned to him when she was sure James was okay.

"Mr. Lupin asked me to take you to the room, Miss Black." He said bowing to her and motioning her to follow.

Kat locked arms with her husband. She smiled at him apologetically. "The curses of being a pureblood." She whispered to him. "Everyone seems to know your name."

James stroked her hair with his free hand. "I just wish he knew your full name."

"They will," Kat said leaning into his hand. "They soon will."

They followed Tom to a back room where Tom knocked on the door. "They said for you to wait here. I will be back with some drinks."

He left them and Kat and James listened at the door. There were several people laughing and talking behind the door. There was suddenly a bang and then the room was full of laughter. Then they could hear Sirius begin to speak.

"I want to thank you all for coming here. Remus was kind enough to ask you all here for me. I have a big surprise."

"Is it that you found your..." Kat squeezed James' arm a little. She remembered that voice.

"Shut up, Jimmy." Sirius snapped. "No. Nearly twenty years ago I did something stupid..."

"Why am I not surprised." Said a deep and also familiar voice before chuckling. She gasped and put her hand over her mouth. Severus Snape was in the same room as her brother laughing without Sirius trying to kill him. Something was wrong with that.

"Yeah, yeah. Remus open the door to the surprise."

Kat stood on her toes and kissed James. "I love you." She whispered quickly.

The door opened and the room fell silent for a moment. Kat gazed around at all the people. She knew at least half of them. Sirius, Regulus, Remus, Tonks and the blue haired toddler Kat assumed to be baby Teddy were closest to her. Next to Remus sat two very familiar people, James and Lily Potter. Then beside them was a young man with messy black hair and startling green eyes behind glasses, Harry.

From Harry Kat could not recognise most of the large group of redheads, except for Molly and Arthur Weasley. Among the obvious sea of Weasleys was a bushy brown haired girl. On the other side of the Weasleys was Severus Snape who was sitting beside Regulus.

Remus waved his hand slightly motioning them to step in. James took charge and pulled Kat inside with him. He shook his head a little at his shy wife. He was more nervous now than when he proposed to Elizabeth. He even felt as if he would rather go through the pain of dying again than meeting these strangers.

Sirius closed the door behind them and stepped up to James' side. "Everyone this is my sister and her husband James Norrington." Kat smiled and James made a slight bow. "That day... that day that changed all our lives." Sirius continued. "Before I went after Peter I sent Kat away with a banishing spell."

He went on and gave a condenced version of what had happened to his sister and how she came to meet and love James. Apparently this was something the men had discussed while Kat was unpacking. He then explained how he had brought them home, with Remus' help.

When that was done he introduced everyone in the room. James carefully memorized each name and face. When Sirius was done Lily lept up and squeezed her best friend tight.
