I'd be lying if I said I pulled away. I'd be lying if I said I slapped him and finally I'd be lying if I said the kiss wasn't amazing. I smile as I explore his eyes. The kiss ends when we run out of breathe. I look down at my shoes.
"Fallon..." His gentle voice rings in my ears. His hand tilts my chin up so I'm looking at him.

"Please say something..." I just stand and stare at him. I don't know what to say. My brain is still processing everything and that kiss...
"Agh I'm so stupid! I shouldn't of kissed you. I've scared you. I'm sorry. I'm such an idiot." He starts pacing as his hands tug at his hair. Without even realizing, I reach out and hold his hand.
"Why me?" My voice is soft and sounds fragile. If it were to be tapped, it would shatter. He stops dead in his tracks. Slowly he turns to me.
"Why you?" He says as a smile starts to grow.

"Why not? But you want to know why I did choose you. Well Fallon Ashworth as I have said in my letters, you are you. You do not hide who you are. You are crazy but caring. Fun but cautious. A risk taker but still have boundaries. Gorgeous but unaware of it. Intelligent but doesn't gloat about it. Interesting but don't think you are. Hilarious but sad. You receive hate but do not dish it out. You are strong even though you think you are weak. You are a work of art but don't believe it. Kind but broken. Quiet but loud as well. Extremely talented but hide it. An open book but still has secrets. So Fallon Ashworth, that is why." I feel the tears building up in my eyes.

I run to him and embrace him. He wraps his arms around me and rests his head on mine. I look up at him. His eyes glisten with happiness, his pink lips are slightly parted as he gives me a small smile. I reach up and touch his lips with mine.
"Thank you."

We walk hand in hand back to the dance. I hear claps as we enter. I look around and spot Melody and Toby clapping and cheering. Other students join in. Brandon wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me closer. I bury my face in his chest. I listen to his heart beating. Everyone returns to dancing and we walk over to Mel and Toby.

"Took you long enough." Mel nudges Brandon in the side and he blushes.
"You knew?!"
"Duh, it was obvious."
"You told her?" I turn to Brandon and look into his chocolate brown eyes.
"No, I figured it out." Mel laughs.
"May I have this dance?" Brandon asks holding out his hand.
"Of course."

After a few dances, one of the teachers take the microphone.
"The votes are in and the king and Queen for The Valentines Day dance is... Niall Horan and Fallon Ashworth." The teacher's voice is drowned out by the applause. I stand dead still, thinking I've heard wrong.
"Fallon! You won!"

"But.." A teacher approaches me and takes me to the stage where Ms Steele places a crown on my head. I watch Niall walk up the steps and stand next to me. He smiles out at his classmates while I stare at my shoes.
"Now it's time for the king and queen dance." Ms Steele gestures to the dance floor.
"May I?" Niall asks politely. I look over to Brandon, he nods. I turn back to Niall and smile.
