Do It Again

Chapter 10

I squealed and tried to get away from this person. I pushed off of their chest and tried to break free of his arms, but I couldn't.

"Ashley! Calm down!" Blake said from behind.

I quit flailing and looked up at him. "Why are you attacking me?"

"Attacking you? I came to find you. I thought you were going to the store!" He set me down and turned me to face him. "Why are you here? What are you doing?"

"I'm in a park, Blake. What do you think I was doing?"

"I don't know! I got worried."

"I called my mom and my friend and filled them in on everything that's been happening. I'm not on another cliff. Relax."

He tensed. "I was just worried about you."

I turned and started away.

"Where are you going now?" He called after me.

"Back to your apartment." I never looked at him.

He jogged up to my side. "Is everything good between us?" He tried keeping my speed. "What happened earlier shouldn't have happened. I'm sorry."

"You're right." I stopped him. "It shouldn't have happened. So why did it?"

"I wasn't thinking."

"Neither was I." I admitted. "I let you do it. I wanted you to do it." I looked away. "I didn't stop you because I didn't want to stop myself."

"So what does that mean?"

"That means I shouldn't continue staying with you." I started walking again. "I need to go to a hotel. This wasn't a good idea."

"You shouldn't be living in a hotel, Ashley. It won't happen again."

"How am I suppose to know that? I can't. What if it happens again and neither of us stop it? You know how much trouble I would be in? I'm pregnant with Rocky's child. Just cause we aren't together, doesn't mean I can be with you."

"I know that. Just give me another chance. You've given Rocky how many. I just need one more." He was practically pouting.

I turned away from him. "We will try this one more time. I promised Rocky if anything started happening between us I would stop. I can't do that to him."

"I promise it will be fine."

I got back from the grocery store to find Rose and Rory in the living room.

"Is Ashley back?" I practically threw the groceries and headed toward Riker.

"No." Riker picked Rory up off of the ground. "Blake dropped them off."

"Why didn't Ashley? Where is she?" I was still looking for her.

"She must still be at his apartment. My guess would be she didn't want to see you."

I gave him a look. "I apologized."

"You said you were done with her. She seems to be done with you too."

"I didn't mean it though."

"Looks like she does. I know we've all messed up before, but not to the point where she moved in with another guy. You really messed this one up."

"How do I fix it?" I grabbed Rose and followed him to the kitchen. "How do I get her to come back?"

He shrugged. "I'm not sure. I guess just keep trying."
