Do It Again

Chapter 15

I quickly pushed open the door and fumbled to close it. I shouldn't have told Ryland that. This is why I never tell the truth.

"Is everything ok?" Blake watched me struggle with the door.

"Yeah." I pushed the hair out of my face. "I just forgot the dead bolt was out. It kind of scared me." I quickly made my way over to the other door and locked it too.

"Why are you locking that door?"

"I thought maybe it would keep the sound out." I lied.

He laughed. "I don't think that's how it works."

I shrugged. "Everything's worth trying."

I went over to the baby cribs to make sure they were still asleep. We had bathed them before we left so they could just stay asleep when we got back.

"I'm gonna go shower." I grabbed my pajamas.

"I'll be here." Blake laid backwards on to the bed.

I made my way across the room and to the bathroom. I had just gotten undressed when I realized I never took the towels from Ryland.

"Hey, Blake?" I cracked the door.

"What's up?" He called back quietly.

"I forgot to grab the towels from Ryland. If I leave the door unlocked will you go grab them and put them in here?"

"Yeah." The springs made loud noises as he climbed off the bed. "I'll be right back."

I quickly jumped into the shower before Blake even had a chance to walk in on me naked.

I was rinsing the shampoo out of my hair and my eyes were closed when I heard the bathroom door open. When I got all of the soap out of my face I opened my eyes to see Blake's silhouette on the other side of the shower curtain.

"Need anything else?" His deep voice was loud in the small bathroom.

"No." I crossed my arms over my chest even though I knew he couldn't see me. "Thank you."

He lingered. "No problem."

I didn't start showering again until I knew he was gone. When I heard the door close, I reached out and locked it. I didn't want him walking in on me.

I finished my shower quickly and grabbed a towel. I wrapped my hair in one and wrapped another around my damp skin. When I reached for my clothes, I noticed they were gone.

I rolled my eyes. "Blake? Where are my clothes?"

He laughed. "They're out here."

"Can I have them back?"

"You'll have to come get them."

I pulled my towel tighter and stepped out of the bathroom.

"Where are they?" I looked around the corner at him.

"Out here with me." The smile on his voice was obvious. 

I walked out and over to the bed where he was laying. Blake had a huge smile on his face and watched me closely.

"Can I have them now?" I hit his leg.

"I don't know. You'll have to convince me to give them to you." He smirked.

I placed my hand right above his knee. "You're gonna make me do this?"

He smiled and nodded.

"Please?" I tried one more time.
