Rocky handed me over to Ross who didn't complain once. I readjusted myself and he carried me away from Rocky and to his room. He kicked the door shut behind us.

"So, what happened to you?" Ross looked at my bandaged hands.

"Riker had glass all over his floor and I stepped in it. Of course, I fell into it and cut my hands and legs. Rocky just brought me back from the hospital. I have quite a few stitches." I tried to explain.

He set me down on his bed. "Are you ok? How are you feeling?"

"I'm in a lot of pain."

"Didn't they give you anything for it?" He sat beside me.

They couldn't. I'm pregnant. "No. I asked them not to. I hate how the drugs make me feel groggy." I lied.

"I'll get you some ibuprofen." He got up off the bed quickly.

"No, you don't have to." I couldn't take it anyway.

"I don't want you to have to get up."

He was already up and walking into the bathroom. Ross returned with the bottle of ibuprofen.

"Here you go." He opened the bottle and poured two into my bandaged hand.

I looked up at him slowly. "I can't take them without water."

He smiled and went to the kitchen to get me a bottle of water. I quickly fumbled to open the bottle and threw the two little pills back into it. Ross came back and I balled up my hand like I still had them.

"Here's your water." He smiled.

"Will you open it for me?" My hands were too bandaged to open it myself.

He untwisted the cap and handed it back.

"You can put away the medicine bottle if you want to." I didn't want him to see me not taking the pills.

Ross grabbed the bottle beside me and went to the bathroom. I took a huge gulp of water and acted like I swallowed the ibuprofen.

Ross came back out and sat beside me. "You should rest. Lay down until the ibuprofen starts working."

I didn't fight him as I laid down. He didn't know it wouldn't start working.

"Will you check on the twins?" I asked quietly.

He nodded and threw a blanket over me.

(Ross's point of view)

I left Ashley to try and sleep while I went to check on the babies. Rocky was in his room when I walked in.

"How is she?" Rocky turned to me quickly.

"She's laying down. I made her take a nap." I put my hands in my pockets awkwardly.

"I'm sorry I just sorta threw her at you. If it's a problem I'll just carry her up my ladder."

"No! It's no problem." I said too quickly. "She's fine in my room for a few days. I don't want her to have to worry about going up and down your ladder while her stitches heal anyway."

He was quiet for a second. "So, is there a reason you came up here?"

"Oh, yeah. Ashley wanted me to check on the twins."
