Do It Again

Chapter 25

"I can't believe you're back!" Riker pulled me against his chest, knocking a bag off of my arm.

"Don't suffocate me." I laughed.

"Never." He pulled away. "What took you so long? It's almost five. I thought you would have been here sooner."

I glanced behind me and watched Blake pull out of the driveway. "It took me a while to pack." I lied. "Where are my babies? I've missed them."

"Inside."

"Can I come in?" We were still standing on the front doorstep.

"Obviously!" He picked up two of my bags and one suit case. "Does anyone else know you're back?"

"You're the only one who opened the door. I haven't made it inside yet to see anyone else."

He smiled and led the way inside.

"There you are!" Rydel screamed and ran over to me. "I haven't seen you in like a month. Are you back for good?"

I dropped the bag I was holding. "I'm back."

"Hey! Long time no see." Ellington smiled, walking over to us.

"It's good to be back." I hugged him quickly.

"Ashley?" Ross came out from his room. "Oh my god. You're back! I never thought I'd see you again."

"Hey." I let him pull me against his chest. "I was coming back one way or another." I looked around at everyone. "So, where are my kids?"

"They're sleeping. I was just about to wake them to feed them." Riker came back from bringing my bags upstairs.

"Where did you put my bags?" I asked.

"They're in the guest room. I didn't know if you were staying in Rocky's or not." He messed with his hands.

"Is that where the twins are?"

He nodded.

I picked up my last bag. "I'm gonna go see them."

No one stopped me and no one followed me up the stairs. I wonder why Rocky didn't come see me.

I made sure to not make any noise walking past his room. Maybe he was busy.

I threw my bag onto the bed and went over to the cribs. Rose was wide awake and kicking.

"Hey, baby." I leaned over her crib. "I missed you."

She giggled and reached up to me. I reached in and let her grab my finger.

"You're back." Rocky stood in the doorway.

I stood up straight. "No hug?"

He smiled and made his way over to me. He pulled me into him and buried his face in my hair.

"I missed you." He whispered.

"I'm here now." I hugged him tighter. "And I'm not going anywhere."

"Are you staying in here?"

"Only if I'm not allowed to stay in your room."

"What if I said you weren't allowed to stay in here?"

"Then I guess I would either have to stay in your room or Riker's." I teased. "Or maybe even back with Blake."

"My room it is." He pulled away and grabbed a bag. "My room only."

I smiled and picked up two of my bags while he grabbed another one. In his room I started to unpack to the way it was before I moved into the guest room. He went over for the baby cribs and my pillow.
