"We need to get you to the hospital." Ross panicked.

"Where's Rocky?" I needed him.

"Rocky!" Ross screamed. "Let's go! Ashley needs to get to the hospital!"

There was thumping, falling, and screaming before Rocky appeared.

"What's the problem?" Rocky practically fell down the stairs.

"I think I lost the baby." I repeated to the floor.

"What?" Rocky ran over to me. "How? What happened?"

"There's no time for questions. She needs to get to the hospital." Ross broke us up. "Now."

I went to take a step and Rocky swept me off my feet.

"You're gonna get blood all over you." I touched the back of my leg.

"It doesn't matter. We need to go." Rocky stepped over the blood on the floor and started to the door. "You're driving!" He called to Ross.

Ross jumped up front while Rocky climbed in the back with me. He held me close to him. I looked at his arms to see the blood from my legs everywhere. It was all over my hands too.

Ross pulled up to the emergency room doors in record time. Rocky kicked open the door and brought me back into his arms. He ran through the hospital doors screaming for help. All I could focus on was the blood everywhere. There was no doubt I had lost this baby.

----------------------------------------------

(Riker's point of view)

I heard yelling earlier, but I had been up late with Ashley, so I didn't get up. The only reason I was up now was because I heard a baby crying and it wouldn't stop. I had to go check it out. Obviously no one was paying attention.

I drug myself off of my bed and almost fell onto the floor. I felt drained. I shuffled down the hallway and noticed Rocky's bedroom door wide open. I went into his room and over to the cribs.

"Did you suddenly go deaf?" I said loud enough for Rocky to hear.

I went over and picked up a screaming Rory and a pouting Rose. Holding one in each arm I rocked them side to side. Rose's frown went away and Rory went to a quiet whine.

"Rocky!" I called up his ladder. "What's the problem? Did you die? Why didn't you take care of them?"

He didn't answer again. I was getting fed up. I laid the kids on their play mats on the floor and climbed up the ladder. Rocky wasn't there. I went out into the hallway and called down the stairs for Ross. He didn't answer either.

I took off down the stairs and ran into the living room. I slipped on something wet and landed on my ass.

"What the hell was that?" I muttered, rubbing the elbow I landed on.

I turned over to find blood on the floor beside me. Whose was it? Where was everybody?

"Ashley!" I jumped up off the floor and ran to Ross's room. She wasn't there.

I made my way back up the stairs and to my room. The kids were crying again. I grabbed my phone and dialed Ross's number.

"Where is everyone?" I barked into the phone. "Where's Ashley? Why is there blood on the living room floor?"

"Riker." Ross's voice shook. It was obvious he had been crying. "Ashley's in the hospital. We think she lost the baby."

The world seemed to freeze. My phone slipped out of my hand and landed on the floor. I walked aimlessly down the hallway to Rydel's room.
