"im thinking of buying my own place" luke brought up.

victoria looked up from the screen of her laptop watching luke scroll through his phone. he held it out for her to look at whatever he had been searching for.

there was a page open of houses and apartments, mainly in western LA near the groups current home, not too far from where vic lived. all of them looked pretty expensive with the size of them. she was well aware of some of the rich areas that weren't far from her apartment block and had often envied the people who could afford to live there.

"there were a few really nice houses here" he pointed on the map, "but the location isn't ideal. i'm viewing one a five minute drive from here tomorrow "

"why do you want to get somewhere?"

"this is where my life is. i spend most of my time here, working or not, so i might as well have my own place to come back to during breaks"

"not australia? you already have somewhere here"

"vic there's nothing there for me. i want to start my own life in a new area. at least i know this place well, its my second home"

"but your family and friends from home, won't they mind?"

"i've been away for what seems like half my life already. they're only a flight or two away"

victoria seemed unsure but continued to look through the list of homes. she closed her laptop and set it on the coffee table by her feet.

luke pointed out the house that he was viewing tomorrow. she didn't think that he would go for a house, she expected him to choose a fancy apartment. it seemed very luxurious though, well planned out with a pool and a large garden.

"i didn't think you earned enough money to buy a place like this"

"you know what my job is? i've been in a band for a while now vic, i've got money"

she refrained from rolling her eyes at his smugness.

to be honest victoria never really thought about how famous luke actually was. whenever she was with him it was just the two of them and he never really talked about work. nor did he act like someone who was so well known.

occasionally he would wear expensive brands or spend a lot on food but he didn't tend to flaunt his wealth.

"you gonna come and help me look tomorrow? i need a second opinion before i buy it"

"no, take one of your friends"

"are we not friends? i want you to come"

victoria handed his phone back and went into the kitchen to get a drink. luke was watching her across the room, biting his lip when her top raised as she reached for a glass.

"i'll come with you, only because i don't need to work though" she said nonchalantly turning on the cold water tap. thursday's were mel's days to visit the stores across town.

luke grinned knowing that she'd give in. he wouldn't have asked if he definitely knew that she'd say no. he hated rejection in any way.

"good. we can check out the bedroom for when you're round"

"oh so you're only into bedroom sex now?" she raised an eyebrow, "god you're getting boring"

"i'm into sex anywhere babe. i'm still up for the couch if you are"

he sat up straighter and put his phone next to vics laptop so it was out of the way.

"sure" she shrugged standing in front of him.
