luke woke up alone in an unfamiliar room. the curtains were pulled shut and only a digital clock provided any form of light. it was 9:53, he had really slept in. luke was used to 5am starts when he was working so it was nice to get more than a few hours sleep for once.

he checked his phone for any messages (he had two from calum but he didn't read them) then sat up, letting the sheets fall from his naked body.

"vic?"

luke waited but victoria didn't reply so he swung his legs over the bed and pulled on yesterdays boxers. he stumbled, half asleep, out of the bedroom.

the apartment was quiet apart from the steady hum of the air-conditioning and the sound of cars outside in the distance.

a clatter of metal from what luke assumed to be the kitchen broke the relaxing silence followed by a few curses.

he leaned against the doorframe watching victoria struggling with a pan in her hand and baking trays scattered across the floor along with another pan. she flicked the heat off the stove so she could pick everything up.

"good morning sunshine" luke chirped.

victoria looked up at him from her crouched position and scowled.

"fuck off its too early for this shit"

"its almost ten in the morning"

she didn't reply, continuing to put back the kitchen utensils. luke stood by her side to see what was going on.

"all I wanted was some fucking sausage and bacon" she grumbled turning the heat back on to cook breakfast.

"any for me?"

"get your own food luke"

"your hospitality is shit you know"

"it isn't my job to cook for you. i help you with one thing only buddy"

he shrugged. it was true. victoria gave him a night of pleasure, she didn't need to make food for him too.

luke didn't mind having to make his own breakfast so he moved around the kitchen looking in every cupboard to find something.

he settled with a cookie as he searched for some bread to toast or some cereal.

"i didn't say you could eat my food either"

"someone's happy this morning"

victoria clung onto the countertop and pulled herself up. she gave him a sarcastic smile, pushing him to the side so he was out of the way.

"i am happy but what time are you planning on leaving?"

luke clutched his chest in fake pain, leaning against the worktops for support.

"how hurtful. why do you want me gone so quick?"

"i've been with you for almost twenty-four hours, stop being so clingy rockstar" she laughed brushing cookie crumbs off his stomach, she didn't understand how he managed that.

he ignored her comment, he was having a good time with victoria. she wasn't obsessed with him and didn't ask anything of him. he felt at ease with her.

it was something he wasn't used to these days.

every girl he slept with wanted more, they wanted the attention from him and from the media. they would try to brag about it and post pictures but they went back to being irrelevant within two days.

when luke went home all of his friends wanted to show off the fact that they knew him and took every opportunity to mention him and point out that they were out together.
