*Warning for those that are sensitive to gore*
"I really need to clean this place up."
I stared around the cave I had stayed the night in, acknowledging the messy blood stains and murky-air. Clearly not a place for polite company, now is it?
"I don' wanna though..." I loudly complain to myself, the orange flipper on the top of my head folding over at the thought of 5 minutes of actually doing something instead of being the normally lazy shit I preferred to be.
I groan, flicking my wrist and baring the slight pressure at the pit of my stomach; watching in disinterest as the blood on the walls and the water in the air dissipated, leaving sparkling walls and clear non-murky air.
I take a deep breath, finally deciding that the work was kinda worth it.
"What fucking time is it?" I groan, grabbing my bag and pulling out my phone and glancing at it; 5:47 am.
"Shit, school is in under an hour. I have to head back and get ready." I softly groan; hiking up my book bag onto my shoulder and grabbing my surf board.
"That everything? Pretty sure that's everything. If not, then fuck whatever I didn't grab; let's go." I take a deep breath, diving deep under the lake and letting my gills adjust. Finally, I take a shallow breath; taking deeper ones afterwards once I was sure my lungs had switched.
I could feel the current fighting against me, washing me into sea. I quickly take control, forcing it to my will as I had it carry me forward through the underground stream.
I smirk when I reenter my small, backyard pond; letting go of the current and emerging from the water. I morph the water, letting it solidify and soften into clothing. I adjust the grey jacket, making sure the tie was tied around my neck correctly.
I glanced at the little grey watch on my arm; grimacing at the time. 10:52.
"Took longer than I thought. I have about 45 minutes to get to school." I groan, forcing a fish from the lake to fly up into the air into my hand; taking a bite from it raw. The fish continued to wriggle in my hand, but I ignored it in favor of walking and eating.
"Oh? So you indulge in cannibalism Husky?"
I shake my head, smiling despite myself. I look down at the now-still fish in my hand; reflecting on the past.
"One would assume so, huh?" I smirk, a familiar craving settling in. I shake my head, forcing the impending want; no, the need rising up. That was not a habit I would start again without being forced.
I finish the fish up, making the blood staining my suit disappear as the school building came into sight. I sighed in relief, I still had 20 minutes to kill.
I walk into the building, surprised to see that Ian was already at our lockers; talking to Seto. I push down the curiosity and walk over normally.
"What's up?" I ask cheerfully, both males turning to look at me.
"You hear about the mass murder that happened last night on the beach?" Ian asks me, checking me over worriedly.
"I know you were there last night; did you see anything? Are you hurt?" Ian asks, and I held back the chuckle at the back of my throat.
Concerned for the murderer? How sweet.
"Nah, I'm fine. I didn't see anything; although I was at the far edge of the beach, that's where the best waves are." I shrug it off, crouching down to open my locker. Seto nods unconcernedly, Ian still looked worried; but he nodded as well and turned back to Seto.
