I sigh as I get off the bus, completely uninterested in the world around me as my bright blue eyes surveyed my surroundings from underneath my sunglasses. I didn't even know why I was here to be honest, but I guess my education was important.

I can't just only depend on the money I get in pit fights after all.

You see, I'm a pit fighter. People hire me to get into a dirt hole and beat the shit out of the other guy hired by the other guy. On a good night I could pull in a couple 100 grand, on a bad night I could only pull in about 5 grand, and if the world is really against me I could barely make over $1000. It's not a very healthy life-style but... it gets the rent and the bills paid.

Plus, with my power, I don't really lose.

I was thinking about my last fight and about how my left side was really sore from the kick it had gotten from that dude last night when I ran into the most interesting creature I've ever had the pleasure to meet.

"Dammit! Sorry..." a soft voice apologizes, pulling me up from the side walk softly. I tried to keep from staring, but it was pretty hard. I mean, it's not every day you run into a mudkip wearing a gray suit now is it?

Only then did I realize the cold wetness I could feel on my chest. And then I saw the water stain down my front. I held back a pained groan; I really like this shirt.

"Here, I have some napkins on me." the mudkip hands me some brown napkins that looked like the ones you got from McDonalds, a sorry look in his abyss-like black eyes. I nod thanks, trying to get the water off. To my surprise, the napkin absorbs the water perfectly, leaving my shirt its previous dark blue.

"Wow, those are some good napkins. Thanks." I reply, rubbing my chin thoughtfully.

"Hey, what's your name?" I ask, to which the mudkip instantly replies with "Husky."

I smirk, raising a hand in a small wave. "I'm Ian. Sorry for running into you." I smile as the mudkip instantly starts saying that it wasn't my fault; instantly starting up a conversation as we walked. I find my locker, amazed at the convenience that the mudkip's locker was located directly underneath mine.

There was a guy about my height and build at the locker next to mine, leading logic to assume he'd be my neighbor. I smirk, closing his locker so I could open mine up, trying to make room for the mudkip underneath me to open his without being uncomfortably close to my pelvis.

The guy turns to face me, his ponytail laying on his shoulder and sunglasses that were similar to mine completely blocking out his eyes from view.

"Hey um... what's your guy's names? If you don't mind me asking?" the man says, his voice a level-tone that said that he was slightly annoyed. I smirked, looking at him. With both of our sunglasses blocking our gazes, it would've made for a pretty intense glaring match if I was in the mood for it.

"I'm Ian, the mudkip is Husky." I say coolly, trying to pull off the 'okay you can leave me alone now' vibe that I have perfected. I learned pretty quickly though that it doesn't work on this guy, his face breaking out into a smile as he shook our hands in greeting.

"Cool. I'm Sky. Nice to meet ya!" The guy turns away, making me raise an eyebrow. 1, what kind of name was Sky? 2, this guy seemed too enthusiastic to be sane.

I shake my head, pulling out the stuff I needed for class. What was first? I look down at my schedule, looking at the stuff.
