Kinoe ( Yamato/Tenzo) fell in love the day he was saved by Kakashi. Kinoe, accidentally revealing his wood release jutsu, caught Kakashi's attention. While Kakashi was looking into Kinoe he learned of the test being done. Kakashi ended up changing sides after learning of Danzo's betrayal to Konoha. Learning of this put Kakashi into a new position. Focusing on Danzo's plan to have him kill the third Hokage. The third Hokage now ordered Kakashi to execute Kinoe, which Kakshi did not obey this order, saving Kinoe, hoping to gain a new ally. Kinoe being overjoyed with Kakashi saving him helped deepen his new found feelings for Kakashi even more. Kinoe heard about Kakashi's capture, persuades Orochimaru to let him interrogate Kakashi. Both escaping back to Konoha, Kakashi says that they are even. Kakashi knowing that kinoe will be punished, breaks into the foundation to rescue Kinoe. After saving him, Kakashi decides to add Kinoe to Team Ro, giving him a new name, Tenzo.
