Chapter 13

In the lair of the Demon

The Demon entered the building and found several sleeping humans and disposed of them quickly.  Feeding intermittently and just killing and taking souls from the others.  He was filling out with nicely with muscle.  His skin was gaining the sheen he had in his glory and his muscularity forming very effectively.  The Demon was becoming as strong, if not stronger, than he was before his father exiled him.  “Father, what do you think of me now?  I have grown stronger, bigger and my skin is shinier than yours ever was!  I think you would not be so fortunate to place me in exile now.  To you, my brothers and others who conspired against me will never be able to stop me now in this world”! 

The Demon sat frustrated, the bright sun too hot for him to move about at the moment but allowing him to plot his next movements toward greatness.  With the souls he has acquired and the flesh he has consumed, the demon has grown slightly larger than before.  This has caused him to be cramped in this lair he found.  “I must find a new dwelling to live in so that I can move around and plan.  Once the sun lowers behind the horizon, I shall find a new lair with more room.  I also need to go back to my capsule and destroy it.  If any human were to find it, I might be discovered”!  He started plotting the destruction of the capsule, what direction he can move again in order to find a larger cave to live and what food he may find along the way.  It is fine for him to move daily, but his energy wavers the more he moves.  “I must find the source of energy my father had in order to have limitless energy and be able to control this world with my legion of offspring”.

As the sun began to lower past the horizon, the Demon moved out of the small cave and stretched to his now 15 foot height.  He flexed his foot wide hands and 6 inch long claws.  He flexed his jaw and extended his now 7 inch long fangs to loosen his extendable jaw for feeding.  Then the demon leapt 10 feet into the air and landed 20 yards away from where he began.  “Yes father, I am definitely stronger than you ever were!  Can anyone stop me now!  Ha Ha”!  At that the Demon runs off in the direction of his old capsule and into the area where the scientists are.  Not knowing that this meeting that is inevitable will be coming very soon.

As the Demon nears a village, he observes the inhabitants walking rom fires to homes and gathering food for their dining and getting ready for their slumber.  The Demon seeks out any females that he senses are in their cycle and that he may be able to join with.  This is a need that he has stifled for millennia but is part of his plan to conquer this world.  He watches the villagers and looks for any females that may be alone or far from others.  His frustration becomes evident when none of the women will venture away from others.  The demon runs off to find more vulnerable females and souls to take.  Maybe he will find some of the large and clumsy animals to feed upon.  None of these stifle the anger he fills for his father and brothers and never will.  The demon has one purpose, conquer and propagate this world in order to fill it with his kind.

The Demon finds some of the animals and partakes in a few for his sustenance and leaves the carcasses behind.  Fresh warm blood always stimulates the demon to be more destructive and fulfill his destiny.  He is now sated in food, but not in his quest.  The Demon finds another small village and sees many women and children preparing meals and a few along the river cleaning.  The Demon sees a young female that has wandered off from the others and is swimming in the river.  Since the river has a current, the female does not realize she is being carried further away from the others.  The demon begins to move in closer to her position and sees that she is moving towards his position quicker.  He readies to catch her as she moves under a fallen tree.

The female starts to swim back towards the village but finds that the current is becoming stronger and she needs to swim towards the shore.  As she begins to move away from the middle of the river, she sees a larger fallen tree ahead and knows that she could grab that if needed.  However, if she grabs it wrong, it could break her arm, so she continues to swim towards the shore. 

The demon has moved out near the middle of the tree and crouches down to grab her when she moves under him.  Then he notices her moving sideways towards the shore and away from his position.  If she reaches the shore before she reaches him, she will get away or be able to see him and he will have to kill her.

The female swims and reaches the shore and steps out of the water.  She turns back towards her village and begins to walk back to them.  The Demon begins to run towards her on the shore in order to catch her before she runs away but is unable to reach her as she jumps down a hill.  Her mother starts shouting her name and the female runs back towards the village.  The demon knows he could easily catch and kill her. But he isn’t after food now.  He wants to join with a female in order to impregnate and make hybrids to begin his conquest.

The female reaches her mother and they start to walk back towards the village and the other humans.  The Demon is so angry, he grabs a tree and shakes it so hard, the leaves and nuts fall off upon his head and hit the ground.  This only angers the Demon more and makes him run into the forest and towards his new lair.  The next time he has such a chance, he will no longer hesitate.  Beware humans, the Demon is now on a mission.
