Chapter 31

The Demon’s Lair

            Smashing a large rock against a tall tree, throwing rocks and digging the ground with his large claws and howling at the sky, the Demon was releasing his frustrations on anything he could get in his hands.  “AARGH!!!!!!  I need to find the female and capture the blonde and breed with her.  I have to get my hybrid army formed in order to conquer this world and become what I am destined to be!”

            The Demon sat down on a stump and thought about what he needed to do.  His first act is to find the female that he made the child with and find the child itself.  He must see what happened and why it died.  He never saw the child itself but knew by hearing the humans talk, that it was deformed and unable to live.  But where did they put it?

            The Demon stood up and started to walk towards the town to find out where the child was placed and maybe seek out the female as well.  Any humans that get in his way will die. 

            As he approached the familiar buildings, he saw several humans he had seen before and a vehicle that contained things that caused him alarm.  These things looked as if they were designed for one thing only-To kill.  The Demon decided to skirt this area and move closer to the building that smelled like death.  This may be the place that has the child in it.

            As the Demon opened the large door at the back of the building, a human stepped out with the sticks that smell like they are burning.  The human blew smoke out of his mouth, turned and was torn to pieces before he could react.

The demon relished the feel of the soul he absorbed and the taste of blood was overwhelming.  This spurned him to enter the building and get ready to kill again.  As he walked down the hallway, he saw an empty office and a large window with a curtain behind it. 

The Demon grabbed a chair and threw it at the window causing it to break and the curtain to fall into the room behind it.  The strong smell of death was very present and spurned him to jump into the room.  The three morgue attendants were startled and tried to run towards the door only to be caught and ripped to pieces by the Demon.

One of the attendants was a pregnant woman who begged for her life before the demon ripped her stomach open, absorbed the soul of her and the child and then proceeded to eat the fetus in one large gulp.

The demon ravaged the lab and destroyed equipment until he turned and smelled what he came for.  He pulled open a door and was engulfed in cold air and death.  He pulled open drawers until he found what he was looking for.  A small bundle was on the tray that he opened and for the first time, the Demon viewed his child.  It was a grotesque, odd shaped bundle of flesh.  The humans had cut it open in its body and head.  The child had no legs, two stumpy arms and a few fingers.  The head had a small face but it was still in death and its color was a strange pink and white mixture.

The Demon picked up the child and headed towards the door only to be confronted by a very scared looking group of five security guards.  The Demon grabbed the first guard and felt several burning spots on his back.  He flung the guard at the remaining guards and knocked down two more.  He then turned and felt more spots that felt like burning and then pain.

He turned again and found several wires hanging from his body.  He pulled these and found them imbedded in his skin.  The guard attached to these wires held a weapon in his hands and was pressing a button on it.  Every time he did, the Demon felt the burning sensation.  The Demon pulled out the wires and then grabbed the guard and snapped his spine.  The painful spots became more prominent and he started to feel several more.  As he turned, he saw a guard with another type of weapon that was glowing and making loud noises in the small hallway.  The Demon went after this guard and he began to run down the hall.

The Demon easily caught him and threw him at the door.  This caused the door to open and the guard fell out into the bay area of the morgue.  The Demon saw several large vehicles and a few more humans that turned to look at him.  He growled loudly and attacked these humans with a fury that left them in pieces and the bay full of blood and body parts.

The Demon looked at his hand and noticed he had dropped the child somewhere.  As he turned, he found the bundle had fallen under a vehicle.  The Demon picked up the side of the vehicle and pushed it towards the wall.  After he picked the bundle up, he noticed a strong smell.  This caused his eyes to burn and made it hard to breathe.

The Demon moved towards the door and threw a piece of metal towards the far wall.  Sparks flew and ignited the large volume of gas that had accumulated in the bay.  This exploded and threw the Demon out of the door and caused the building to catch fire and begin to burn quickly.

The Demon stood up, pulled the bundle close and began to run towards the woods where his lair lay.  His fury unabated and growing more with all the souls he consumed and flesh he tore. 

The Demon reached his lair quickly and lay the child on a large rock inside it.  He stared at the bundle and knew what he must do.  The Demon looked at the bundle again, turned and ran from the cave towards where he thought the blonde would be.

He needed to try and breed with her before it was too late.  If he did not succeed this time, he would never reach his goal of supremacy of this world.  “Father, I am still going to win!  You and these disgusting humans will never stop me in my quest!”

The Demon howled loudly and ran faster towards his inevitable mate.  All humans and demons alike be damned.  The Demon is coming!
