Chapter 9

Naruto’s pov.

          I had saved some food with Sakura for Yuki some food. Sakura and Yamato had told me that Yumi was Yuki and that I had to keep it a secret which I didn’t mind because I knew that Orochimaru wanted her still. She pat’s my shoulder as I was about to yell at Sai for being inconsiderate. “That was sweet of you to do Naruto but I already had something to eat. I was out walking around the town so I stopped to eat.” She says and I could just image the bright smile that she would give us when we were still in a team together. Now I wanted some of her sweets because I hadn’t had any in 3 years and really missed them. As if knowing what I was thinking she sighed a little. “I’ll make your favorite when we get back.” She whispers in my ear as she sits by me. I relax in my seat again seeing as how Yuki was now with us again. I didn’t realize how tense I was without her around when she was on a mission with me. “Yumi did you find another nice place to relax?” Sakura asks as she looks around me over at Yuki. Yuki didn’t say anything and I look over at her again to see her eyes closed making her look like she might be asleep. “There was a nice tea stand that had great dango.” Yuki finally says her eyes opening a little to look at us. I was worried about her and how she was sleeping after the whole thing with Gaara and Kakashi-sensei being in the hospital must be hard on her.

Yuki’s pov.

          I was tired but was forcing myself to stay awake because I didn’t trust Sai at all. “That’s enough let Yumi relax a little you two. I’m sure she found some useful information for her mission as well.” Yamato says and I sigh before moving so I could put my back against the wall. Yamato then says he wants to have meeting after the meal which is cool I guess but I was so tired I didn’t know if I would stay awake throw it. Turns out he was going to put it off until tomorrow morning so they could work on their teamwork. Yamato tells us that he was paying for this stay with his own money. That won Naruto over and he grabs my hand in his excitement. “Yumi how about we head back to the bath?” Sakura asks and Naruto’s grip on my hand tightens a little. I look over Naruto’s face and could tell that the thought of us going in now made him a little uneasy then he looks hatefully over at Sai.

          “Say Yumi do you know someone named Mari or Tetsuo?” Sai asks and I frown behind my mask as I pull my hand from Naruto’s. “If I did I wouldn’t tell the likes of scum like you.” I snap before standing and leaving the room. I know someone is following me and big hands on my shoulders stop me. “Perhaps I should be forcing you to get along with them as well.” Yamato says and I turn to look at him. “Sai went on a mission with me and ditched his team when they needed him. My friend almost died because he was helping our enemy who was a rouge Nin so please forgive me if I can’t get along with him.” I say and Yamato’s tense body relaxes a little. “I didn’t know, Yumi you should go enjoy the bath for now and when you come back I will make sure Sai won’t be a problem for you.” Yamato says and I nod my head before going to the bath again. I go back over to the corner Sakura and I had used earlier not bothering with that washcloth because if anyone was going to look over at me I might just kill them.

          I had been in the water for about 20 minutes when someone else gets into the water before coming over to me. “Yuki?” Sakura asks and I turn to look at her. “Yamato is giving Sai a speech and sent Naruto and I out of the room. I thought I would come check up on you.” Sakura says before hugging me. “You’re crying.” She says when I stand there stifle. I reach up and whip my eye as she lets me go. “Yumi-chan you ok?” Naruto yells from the boy’s side and I smile a little. “I think I am now Naruto-kun.” I yell back a wide smile on my face. “If you’re up to it let’s go out for some sweets just the three of us.” Sakura says loud enough for Naruto to hear. “Yes sweets with you two will be the best.”  Naruto chirps. I give a small chuckle and we enjoy the water for a little longer before going out.  I had my mask on still but Naruto was holding onto one of my hands Sakura the other. “Say Yumi-chan what did Sai do to make you storm out of the room like that?” Naruto asks as he gently pulls on my arm. We were almost to the tea stand I had been at earlier.
