Chapter 12

Austin's POV

The whole family were gathered at the dining room table just laughing and eating. I looked over to my Luna who was glowing and my kids they were so busy drinking lemonade before touching their food. I chuckle as I cut a piece of steak and pair it with the roast before shoving it in my mouth.

I know why this thing is so tender. It slow cooked for hours because the cook was busy..Blade says

Oh hush, you took Scarlet in the woods. I say

Blade went quiet and I mentally smirked.

A loud banging was coming from the doors..

"I'll get it." I say to the now quiet dinner party

I walk to the door to see Sam, my best warrior.

"Alpha, there has been warriors killed." Sam says

"How many?" I ask

"Twelve sir" he says looking down

Jackson comes up behind me.

"What happened?" He asks worried

"12 Warriors down." I address him

Jackson nods his head and walks away to return. We all turn and follow Sam in the night. We soon approach the Warriors lying there mutilated and it broke my heart. I stand back and let out a loud howl for the whole territory to hear. Even members who didn't live on the territory will come. They will have vengeance for whoever did this.

Within minutes my whole pack was crowded around me. I didn't see my mother but Maxine came up beside me. She rubbed her muzzle in my neck to comfort me. Everyone just looked at the sight behold them. It didn't need any explaining. The pack was howling and the Warrior's mates sat beside their bodies with their ears low.

"There's black smoke coming from out the bodies. Don't you have video cameras?"My Luna notices

"Shit I forgot about those." I mind. It's so dark you couldn't tell. I focus on the bodies and see something black emit from them.

"It is, it must be the demons." I mind her

"They wanted vengeance for me killing the two." She minds me

"It's not your fault. You did the right thing." I mind

I nudge her with my muzzle and she lets out a whimper. The pack quiets down after a while and looks at me..

"Demons have killed our members." I start as the portion of the pack that came growled

"We will have vengeance...we can't show weakness at any moment. They were our mates, family, parents, friends. They died a glorious death for a warrior, fighting for their pack. We have cameras but it will only identify who they were. I said

"Alpha's right, once we get a lead we will kill every single one of those hell Angels. We will send them back the hell where they came from!" My Luna chanted

The pack starts howling and getting hype. I was getting hype myself.

"So are we just going to sit on our asses or are we going to start right away!" She chants as her tail swings a little

"Let's kill those fuckers!" The pack chants

"Meet me here at 7:00 am. The hunts starts so be prepared." I say and the pack dissembles

I look at Scarlet my Luna and I felt so proud of her. She not only lifted the pack but encouraged them that we can't mope about it. This is why she's my mate...

The next morning I wake up to Maxine shaking me.

"Wake up. It's 6:30" she says

I look at her to see her in a pair of yoga pants and sports bra. She walks out the room and I go to the bathroom and then go to our closet. I pick out a pair of shorts and muscle tank. I pick up drawstring back and go downstairs to Maxine cooking a hearty breakfast: potatoes, bacon, eggs with veggies, grits, and deer. Her thoughts told me her mother has the kids.

"I thought more meat would help since it's going to be a busy day." She says

I walk up to her and kiss her before sitting down. Like usual, Maxine grabs me a plate and pile so much food on it but I always eat it. She gets me a cup of juice and a shot glass of vodka. I swear she spoils me.

She sits down and has a plate as big as mine. She bends her head down for five minutes without saying a word and when she sits back up her plate is empty. I raised my eyebrow at her and she smiles. I chuckle as she gets up and clean up the kitchen. I finish eating and down my shot. I put the dishes in the sink as Maxine was finishing up. I look at the clock to see its 6:35. I wait on Maxine and she slips on her shoes before we're out the door.

We walk silently walk to the meeting spot where a couple pack members were waiting. We walk off a little bit and change. We put our clothes in my bag and turn. I sling the bag over Blade's enlarged back and we go back to the spot where the whole pack was now.

"Is everyone here?" Austin asks in Blade's voice

The pack lets out a cheer and Austin calms them down.

"We hunt for the hell angels...Warriors I'll need for all of you to divide evenly with the hunters into a Group A and Group B. Once it's divided, The groups will head West and East. Pack women I'll need for you to stay here and protect our territory and let me know if anything turns into hell. My pack killers, since y'all are born to kill I'll need for you guys to find Intel from every corner of land there is. Anything useful or something I need to know, report it to me." Austin commands

I know it's hard for him to talk as Blade but we both learned how to talk as wolves so after a while we became use to it but it still feels foreign to our wolves and they try to fight it just a little bit...

The pack gets into sections and Blade looks at me. I whimper knowing we'll have to separate into the two groups just so we can command them. Blade walks over to me and comforts me before looking into me with those pitch black eyes and walking away. I don't know which see you later is harder because I know it isn't a goodby. Austin's just now or the kids crying, both broke my heart.

I command group B meaning we move east and it's a lot of land since we're in Colorado.

"Alright, let's move." I command

We start moving further and I hear Blade's howl. I howl back as we run further away from eachother...
