Kenzie pov
I walked down the halls to my new first period class. Almost everyone's eyes on me. Everyone must know by now. It's not that big of a town, word gets around pretty quickly. Some people looked sorry for me and others looked mad.
I can do this.
I found my law class and decided to take a seat in the back. I kept my head down and played with my hands. Being at school made it worse. So many people watched me as if I was about to break. I already broke. Now I'm just slowly putting all my pieces back together. Although I'm not so sure that I will be able to.
"Kenzie" I heard someone call from the front of the class. I looked up from my hands to see Harry walking towards me. "Hi" I greeted him with a small smile. He took a seat in the desk beside. "Good someone that I like is in my class." He smiled.
I knew that he was talking about me but I looked around the classroom and saw a bunch of other people that have been to his party and he talks to everyday. Unsure of what to say I just gave him a fake smile and then looked back down at my hands.
Class began and I did what I normally did during class, doodled in my notebook. The bell rang and I gathered my things and left class. I moved out of the way of the door and looked at my new schedule.
"Room 109
Mr Green
History"My piece of paper read. "Kenzie" Harry said from behind me. I turned on my heel to look at him "yeah?" "How-how are you doing? I- I know that I shouldn't asked sooner but I-" I cut him off "yeah I'm doing okay I guess. I mean as okay as you can be when your mom dies but um yeah I'm okay" my hands began to shake a bit but I tried my best to make it stop or at least not noticeable.
"good good" he said with a smile. I did a small nod and then I looked down at my shoes. "I- well we need to hangout soon it's been a while." Harry said breaking the silence. "Um yeah for sure, I um I'll see you around Harry" I said before turning to walk down the hall to find my next class.
I found my next class and sat in the back as usual. I could feel people's eyes on me. The more people that walked in and stared the more uncomfortable I got. The teacher walked in and finally everyone turned to the front.
I drew in my notebook the whole class. The bell went and I gathered my things. I waited for everyone else to leave first because I didn't want to rush past them and have them stare.
As I walked out of class someone grabbed my waist and lifted me up. I started to squirm in their arms. "Let me go" I fought. "Shh shh it's okay baby it's just me I'm sorry if I scared you." Niall whispered into my ear. He set me down and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He pulled me in tightly to his chest and gave me a soft kiss on my forehead.
Every time he did that I always felt a small tingle in my body. Every time he did it I just felt safe. I always feel safe when I'm in his arms. Whenever he holds me tight I just can't help but smile. He's like my sunshine on a rainy day.
Soon, but not soon enough school was over. "Ready?" Niall asked me as he closed his locker door. "Yeah" I replied before closing my locker. He grabbed a hold of my hand and began walking towards the doors. Lots of people looking at us. Well not at us, at me.
When will this stop. When will everyone's eyes not be on me. It was getting better. Less people would stare at me. But then my mom died and I ran out of school while having a break down.
Once Niall and I got to my house Niall made popcorn while I got us some drinks. "We're going to watch Greys Anatomy yeah?" I asked hoping that the answer would be yes. "Of course what else would we do?" Niall joked.
