*2 weeks later*

My mom and I packed everything up and sold the house. I took one last look out the window when my mom walked in "Ready honey?" She asked. "Yeah let's go". I picked up the last box from my room and walked down the stairs.

I put the box in the back of the truck and got in the front while my mom locked the house. I looked out and saw her put the keys under the welcome mat where she said that she would for the new family that was moving in. We left them almost everything, the furniture, the appliances, the only things that we took was our really personal stuff since my grandparents would have everything already at their house, the furniture, the appliances. My mom got in and we began our 3 hour drive to my grandparents house.

*3 hours later*

We finally got to my grandparents house.

My grandparents aren't that old, they're only 64,they had my mother when they were 25 and since my mom had me when she was 22 it made me have young grandparents.

As soon as we pulled into the driveway they walked out of their house. I opened my door and got out of the car my nana started jogging towards me. She opened her arms wide and I hugged her. My grandpa walked up behind. "How's our favourite grandchild?" He asked. "I'm your only grandchild" I replied. "Tis why you're our favourite one." He said. I laughed. "Come here squirt" he said as he opened his arms wide. I went and hugged him.

I missed them so much. The last time I saw them was 3 years ago when I came to visit in the summer.

Every summer we used to come and spend the whole summer here. They have a pool in the backyard, I would always hangout with Niall. We had been best friends ever since I was born. His parents were just a little older than mine and a little younger than my grandparents. They had lived just down the road a bit. Niall and I were born just a month apart, I literately knew him since I was born because he was born before me and our parents had become friends, the first time I met Niall was when I was just 3 days old. It was instant friendship, well at least that's what I was told.

We brought in all our boxes, it didn't take too long we only had about 10.

I went up to my old room that I used to stay in when I visited over the summer. I had four of my boxes already on my bed. I went and sat on the window seat that looked out to the street. I had my back on the wall and looked out the window.

My nana walked in and set the fifth box on my bed and then sat on the other side of the window seat. "I remember when you were 11 to 14 at around  9:30, 10 ish at night and Niall crawled up that tree and came and knocked on your window. The two of you just sat here talking for 2 hours, your tried to whisper so that we didn't hear you, but we did. You two laughed and talked. You two were always laughing when you were together. He then went back to his house. He would always crawl up the tree and into your window or you would crawl up their tree and into his window. You always thought that we didn't know, but oh yes, we knew, all of us knew, your parents, his parents, myself and your grandfather, we all knew" she said. "You guys knew?" I asked shocked. "Yes of course we knew" she replied. "Wow, here I was thinking that for all those years we got away with it" I said. We both laughed.

I turned and looked out my window to the tree where I used to sneak down to see Niall or he would crawl up to see me.

"How is Niall?" I ask as I look back at my nana. "He's good. He's become quite good looking. Beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair. So nice, so caring." She replied. I smiled "that's good" I replied as I looked back out the window. "You should go visit him tonight. I know that Maura and Bobby would love to see you, I'm sure that he would love to see you as well." She said as she put her hand on my knee. "Nan he probably doesn't remember me, it's been 3 years since we last saw each other" I replied. "Kenzie, how could he forget someone that he spent nearly everyday with in the summer for 14 years?" She said. "I don't know. I might just unpack tonight, I start school tomorrow I want to be well rested." I lied. I didn't want to be well rested for school I just needed an excuse so that she wouldn't force me to go over and see him. "Okay fine, but come, eat some cookies, I just took them out of the oven a few minutes ago" she said as she stood up and began to walk towards the door. I stood up and followed her down the kitchen. I must admit, nans cookies were the best cookies that I have ever had.
