AUTHOR'S NOTE: Any shortys with this title are basically some "notes" or rough drafts that are going to become another story I'm working on in my 'Michael and Me' Series, which is a fictitious story based on the life of Julia Daugherty, who meets Michael Hutchence and of their life together. Each book will contain a year or a couple of years of their lives, right now I have posted the year 1983 (an ongoing book); this "note" is from 1984. :)

The "1", "2", and so on aren't indicative of actual chapters as they will eventually appear in their respective books, just numbering them here to keep track of them. They're gonna kind of jump around a bit too, as notes often do.

Be sure to vote and comment, it'd be really cool to see what y'all think, thanks! :)

---- The photo is one of Michael taken in 1984 by photographer Georges Amann and all copyright goes to him.  The video is 'Love Is (What I Say)' from INXS 1984 album 'The Swing" and then re-mixed for their Cassingle, also released in 1984, called 'Dekadance'.  The first version is from Dekadance, the second from The Swing (the first features audio from the Dekadance cassette, hence the occasional slight tape dropout, the second at features the audio from the vinyl promo of Dekadance, hence the occasional sibilance.

(January 21st, 1984 - Continued...)

Suddenly the doors flew open and Michael, who was still floating on air, burst into the room singing 'In Other Words' by Frank Sinatra, followed closely behind by Jon, Tim, and Chris, who were laughing at Michael's goofiness.  He ignored them and danced his way over to Julia, pulling her up off the couch and continued to dance with her about the room, singing to her and to anyone else who was in the room with them.  While they were dancing around, Buffy got up and began whispering in Tim's ear about Michael's surprise party while he looked at his wife, then to Michael and Julia before looking back at his wife again as he nodded his head in agreement, smiling excitedly.  He proceeded to whisper in Jon's ear, who said he'd come and bring some finger food, such as crab stuffed mushrooms or something else he thought Michael would like.  Tim then caught Kirk and Andrew, who were just coming into the reception room, and told them of tomorrow evenings plans; they both agreed it was a grand idea as well, Kirk offering to bring a Chinese dish and Andrew offering to bring the wine and beer.  They then proceeded to fill Chris in on their plans, who offered to bring an Indian dish of some sort as well.

Andrew spoke up just as their group was about to disperse, "What if Julia has her baby between now and tomorrow?"

"Then we'll move it to the hospital." Buffy responded with a grin. "I'm sure they'd let us use one of the guest reception rooms for a small gathering.  Not sure you'll be able to bring up the beer though." She added jokingly.

"I'm staying with them," Jon offered, "I can call all of you and let you know if they have it overnight, too."

Buffy nodded, "Great idear, Jon, it's settled then."  She smiled as their group dispersed around the room to talk with others from the music industry, and with fans who won backstage passes who were beginning to slowly filter into the room.
