AUTHOR'S NOTE: I just came across a folder of shortys I wrote 20+ years ago, this particular shorty taken from a dream that I (sort of) worked into a story.   Currently (somewhat) unedited.

UPDATE: I've decided to rework this into a shorty fan-fic; to be more specific, an INXS & Michael Hutchence fan-fic. The time frame/timeline for this story is a mix between present day and summer 1993, just after the European leg of their 'Dirty Honeymoon' tour was completed and their 'Get out of the House' US tour was to begin. Yes, I know the timeline isn't quite right for their actual tour dates, keep in mind this story is 100% pure fiction, and that is the timeline for this fictional story.

---- The video is a short interview with Kirk Pengilly, Michael Hutchence, and Tim Farriss, along with the song 'Heaven Sent' by INXS, recorded live at RockAM Ring in 1993.  The photo is of INXS taken in 1993 as a promotional photo for their (then) newly released album 'Full Moon Dirty Hearts' (FMDH).

Be sure to vote and comment, it'd be really cool to see what y'all think, thanks!

I was at a party that my friend Andrew had invited me to, lord knows why I went!  I really didn't even want to go but he kept insisting, "Come on, you need to get out more!  You'll have so much fun!"  Yet when I get here he is nowhere to be found, and he knows how much I hate going to parties not knowing a single soul there!

One beer!  I tell myself.  I'll have one beer, and if I can't find him by the time I'm done with it, I'm outta here!  Luckily, I didn't have too much trouble finding the keg, as it's always where Andrew keeps it, perched right out front next to his garage; a nice, conspicuous place for everyone to find it.  I'd just finished topping off my cup and was about two steps into turning around to walk off when someone bumped into my side, causing me to drop my full cup of beer!

"Jesus-fucking-Christ!  Watch where the fuck your going, eh!?"  I said as I turned fully around, a little ticked off and ready to fight.

In the space of about three seconds, the first thing I saw was his chest and that I really had to crane my neck to look up at him, with me being at 5'3" and he being at the very least a good 6'2".  Maybe even 6'3" or 6'4".  Give or take.   Holy shit, he's a transport from the land of the giants!  Fighting off the urge to start snickering at my "wisecrack", one - because it was in my head, and two - he would be totally clueless as to what I was laughing at, the second thing I noticed was his hair: jet black with slight waves around his face that fell just past his shoulders, and even out here in the semi-darkness it seemed impossibly soft and shiny.  It was the kind of hair every girl would want to run their fingers through, no doubt about that.  The last thing I noticed was the genuine smile plastered across his face, a smile so bright it literally lit up the area around us, and expressive, intensely deep brown eyes that smiled too, while at the same time looked right through you.

A deep, hearty laugh emanated from somewhere deep within his chest to fill the space around us, "Woa-woa! Hey!"  He laughed.  "Sorry there!"  I was very, very nearly drawn completely into his eyes when he snickered, bringing me crashing back into the here and now, "Sorry, but it's hard to see you down there."
