AUTHOR'S NOTE:  This was written for a guy a was seeing sometime in 2000 or 2001, the same guy I wrote 'Song of the Centaur'  for, which can also be found in this book.  As with, 'Song of the Centaur', this was also written as that relationship was coming to a close.  Enjoy!  :)

                    Set You Free

I have tried to show you

               through my touch,

through the fact that I have come to you

               and come back  to you

over and over and over again ...

... I don't have much to offer you, to give you,

only myself, my laughter, my love,

                       ... and still ... it's not enough.

I have tried to convince you

through the unspoken, and even spoken

things I say and things I do,

and still ... you do not or cannot believe

               that I believe in you.

I have tried to walk with you

in your desperate and lonely times of need.

I shall never walk away from you,

               I will set you free.

(lol).  Your comments help me to become a better writer, and if I can get enough comments & votes, I could even get this book published!  So don't be shy, I really do love to see what you think about my stories and poetry, and by voting & commenting, you're helping me make my dream come true of having a book published!
