An explosion shook the cave. The fire from the torches covering the stone walls flickered as the rock trembled. Small pieces of stone broke from the ceiling, causing pebbles and dust to rain down around the cavern. The cave rocked as an enormous scaled tail flew into the stone, causing it to crack and shatter. A storm of dirt and dust flew through the air, whipping at the clothes of a hooded man.

“Well, this is going well.” The man muttered sarcatically, lowering his arms as the wind passed by. “Seriously, they said the boss of this dungeon was just a big snake…” He stood up, staring up at the enormous reptile that towered above him, “Freakin understatement of the century.”

The snake reared its head back and hissed, the shrill piercing sound causing the man to flinch. Its tail scrapped across the ground and whipped into the air, waving slowly. It stared down at the hooded figure, its head swaying back and forth. Reaching up, the man grasped the side of his hood and pulled it down, shaking out his long black hair. Taking a breath, he stared up at the monster.

“Looks like I pissed him off, great.” Raising his right hand he tugged on his sleeve, revealing a string of small red beads tied around his wrist. A smirk spread across his face as the beads began to glow with a dull crimson light.

“Oh well,” He said, “It’s not like I came here to blow through the dungeon, I wanted a challenge.”

Hissing angrily, the snake shot forward, baring its pointed fangs. In an instant, the man had knelt to the floor and pressed his hand against the earth.

Rock RISE!” A wall of stone suddenly shot out of the ground in front of him. The cave shook violently as the monster crashed into it. The rock cracked and an angry hiss filled the air as the snake reared back, violently shaking its head. The young man rose and crossed his arms.

Rock make Spears.” He slashed his arms across. Several sharp spikes exploded out of the stone wall before him. They flew towards the monster, whistling as they sliced through the air. A low hiss escaped the creatures throat as the snakes yellow eyes narrowed. Its tail turned into a blur as it flew through the air, shattering the stone weapons before they could pierce its body. Taking a step back, the young man scowled.

“Damn, the rock’s too weak!” His eyes widened when the stone wall in front of him suddenly blew apart. He jumped to the side as the snake’s fangs rushed by, almost grazing his side. Sliding across the rock he tried to roll to his feet, but cried out when the creatures’ tail crashed into him. He flew backwards, falling onto the ground with a thud. Scales scrapped the earth as the monster quickly turned itself around, hissing. The man clutched his stomach, gritting his teeth.

“Damn it…guess i underestimated it.”

Without warning, the snake sprang towards him. Without any time to dodge the teenager could only clench his eyes shut. Suddenly a heavy iron boot stomped into the ground in front of him.

“Hyaaaaaaa!!!” The raor filled the cavern as the blade of a giant battle axe tore through the snake’s fangs. The force of the attack blew the monster back. A shrill cry shook the cave as the snake monster fell to the ground. The rock cracked as the creature crashed into the earth, causing dust and dirt to rise into the air, masking the monster with a dark cloud.

“Ha-ha!” The new arrival laughed, raising his axe triumphantly, “How do ya like that!? Pretty cool huh, Adan?”

The cloaked teenager scowled slightly at the person standing before him, “What the hell took you so long, Rallen?”

Rallen grinned, “What’re you talking about? Is that how you talk to a guy who just saved your ass?” He asked as Adan stood up. The cloaked teenager was about to respond when a loud hiss filled the cavern. The two spun around just as the snake rose out of the cloud of dust. Blood dripped from the monsters mouth, landing in puddles on the ground. It yellow eyes blazed in fury as crimson pools formed around it. A loud cracking sound filled the air as the Snake twisted its head about. Suddenly, it threw its head back and let out a bloodcurdling screech, causing the two teenagers to cringe.
