Korra's kiss was feverish and heated. It held passion and anger, hurt and love. All the words she wasn't able to expressed to the older mechanic, who's collar she held tight in both hands.

They had just been awkwardly standing beside each other in the kitchen, neither making a move. Korra had caught the older girls eye just as she was looking away and had forcefully pinned her against the wall. Asami hadn't looked scared, more curious and surprised than anything.

Korra leaned into Asami, once again breathing in the familiar scent of grease and the earth. It was a scent that would forever be comforting to her.

Asami stroked the younger girls hair, but she still didn't speak. She didn't wanna ruin the moment that had just taken place. It had meant that Korra had started to let her walls back down, and the older mechanic certainly wasn't gonna mess up again.

Korra looked at the wedding ring on Asami's finger and smiled a bit, running her thumb over the dark blue stones. The ring itself had taken her weeks to find, especially where she just ended up having it custom made.

Asami's eyes drifted down to the ring, and then back to look at Korra's face, into her eyes. She could get lost in the depths of those stormy eyes. To anyone else they would be cold and sharp, but to her, because Korra was letting her in, they were soft and showed all emotions.

Bolin stood in Mako's office, currently at a standstill. He was breathing heavily, and his knuckles were split. Blood ran in a small stream down his bruised, broken nose. Mako had thrown a punch, and the caring boy had gotten sick of his acts.

He moved forward, advancing on Mako's who was currently doubled over, having a hard time breathing.

"You know I hate doing this, you're my big brother Mako. You pretty much raised me."

Mako let out a breathy laugh and raised his head, one of his eyes completely shut from being so bruised.

"Not my fault you were pathetic and weak."

Bolin growled low in his throat, and threw a punch down low to Mako's stomach. The force behind Bolin's strong arm was a little too much, and Mako went flying towards the big bay window.

He hit the window, but didn't stop. Time slowed down and glass shattered, and Mako plunged down the side of the 24 story building.

The young officer watched as they gathered Mako's broken, bloody dead body off the sidewalk. She wasn't heartless, but she didn't feel much for Mako. He had almost ruined the best thing in her life.

Asami however, was standing up inside the ambulance with him. She lifted her hand, and brushed it gently through his dark hair. A single tear fell from her pale cheek, but no more than that. It was a life, no matter what he had done.

Bolin stood on the sidewalk, talking to Lin, explaining what exactly had went on. Bolin knew he could be charged with manslaughter and put in jail, but he wasn't about to lie to the chief of police.

Lin wrote down a couple more sentences before looking up and the green eyed boy.

"I'm going to have you come down to the station. I want you to spend one night in the cell, but Mako's provoked the fight. You were using self-defense maneuvers and it wasn't your fault that he flew towards the window."

Bolin nodded, getting into the police car. It wasn't any use fighting the chief, and he was getting off with no more than a slap to the wrist. What he had done wasn't right, but maybe it was for the best.

Kya was sitting with Lexa. She had allowed the young girl to stay with them since she had no other place to go. The bright blue eyed nurse had to admit that it was nice having her around. She was always telling jokes and getting Lin to relax.
