"Get away from me!" I shouted a couple mornings later as Uncle Severus handed me a piece of toast. "I am not hungry!" I hurled it at his face.
"Eleanor!" He exclaimed as he dodged the bread. "You do not talk that way to me!"
"Whatever." I hoarsely shot back and coughed. I hadn't taken any of the tonic because I would not eat at all, and it was starting to show. I felt weak. Incredibly weak. I couldn't hold my hands steady. I barley had a voice left...I was a mess.
"Any luck?" Healer Rhys appeared in the doorway and stopped at my bedside.
"No, she's just a stubborn as she's been all week." Uncle Severus replied, sitting down in the chair that was placed in the corner of the room.
"That is disappointing." Rhys picked up the thermometer laying on the bedside table.
"Is that the only reason you came up here?"I rudely said. Instead of replying, he stuck the thermometer into my mouth, stopping me from calling him a few choice names.
"It's almost 40." He looked behind him to tell Uncle Severus. He turned back to me. "Are you cold?" I shook my head yes. "Just as I feared. There is still a possibility that her fever could be going up." I rolled my eyes. He had been telling me that all week.
"Again, is that all you came up here for?"
"No. There are a few people her to see you. I'll send them up." He left the room.
My heart leaped. People were here to see me? For the last four days I had talked to no one but Healer Rhys and Uncle Severus.
"Elle." Vincent popped his head into the door way.
"Move it!" He was pushed into the room by Draco. "Ellie!" He yelled, making my head throb. "Oh... You look terrible!"
"Er..." I looked down. I guess that was true...I hadn't showered or brushed my hair in three days.
"Elle?" Goyle came in behind them.
"Hi guys." I coughed and smiled a faint grin. They all congregated to my bedside as I sat up.
"How do you feel?" Vince asked.
"Not very well." I opened my arms for a hug. He blushed but did as I wanted.
"I want one!" Gregory stepped forward.
"Of course." I chuckled and hugged him also. Every eye turned to Draco, who was picking at one of his fingernails. He looked up.
"What?...Oh, yeah. That. I'd hug you, but I don't want to catch your sick." He explained. I looked down.
"Oh..." I trailed off. Vincent shot Draco a hateful look before taking my hand. I gave him a small grin.
"Thank you, Vince." I coughed a couple times. Why are you guys here this early in the morning? It's a little past five, isn't it?"
"Today is the Quidditch World Cup!" Goyle said.
"Oh..." Was it already the day of the World Cup? "I wish I could go..."
"We'll get you something while we're there." Vince smiled.
"You don't have to do that." I didn't want him spending money on me.
"I know, but I want to."
"Thank you, Vince."
"Anytime."
"Well, Ellie," Draco cut in. "If you are worried about your ticket going to waste it's not."
