The First Task was held outside. Everyone was sitting on stands similar to those that were on the Quidditch field, except the Champions. The Champions were all in a tent, awaiting what was yet to come.

Everyone squirmed excitedly waiting. Finally, a group of about twelve wizards came out with a huge dragon that was trying to pull away from the ropes around it's neck.

"Whoa! Take a look at that!" Vincent peered at the blueish-gray dragon. "That's a Sweedish Short-Snout!" My eyes widened and I couldn't help but smile when it blew a long puff of glowing flames.

"No, look at that..." I gazed at the fire.

"Geeze, Elle. It's just fire." Draco put his arm around me.

"I know, but it's just..." I couldn't find a word to describe it.

Suddenly, a whistle sounded and silenced everyone.

"Witches and Wizards," The man I recognized as the Head of the Ministry's division of Magical Games and Sports (His name was something Bagman) loudly announced from somewhere near the judge's table. "The First Task has officially..." He took a dramatic pause, "Begun!" The crowd erupted into cheers. "The Champions have randomly selected a dragon- there are four different dragons so each Champion has a different opponent- and there objective is to get the golden egg that has been hidden amongst the other eggs in the dragons nest! Now, with out further ado, I would like to introduce Hogwarts Champion, Cedric Diggery!" Again, the crowd went wild. I stayed neutral, just starring ahead, hoping the dragon would blow another shot of fire.

Cedric Diggery nervously walked out of the tent, his wand limply raised. A couple row in front of us I could see Sarah Beth on her feet standing next to Rufus Fudge, cheering as loud as she could and hopping up and down.

Down in the arena, Cedric starred at the huge beast. The dragon did the same. An instant later, Cedric was running to the left, avoiding the Dragon's flame. I leaned forward a bit, but not to look at the Champion, but at the burning, orange fire.

Cedric yelled something and flicked his wand. A smallish rock near the Dragon's foot transformed into a small, brown dog. It yipped and in the opposite direction of Cedric. Below us, I saw Sarah Beth stop jumping and look down. Rufus grabbed her hand and she looked at him.

"She's afraid of dogs." Goyle whispered in my ear. I shook my head and averted my eyes back to the arena.

The dragon's attention was completely taken over by the dog. Cedric took this opportunity to dive under the dragon's legs to get to the eggs behind it. But his plan nearly failed.

The dragon noticed him and turned around, blowing fire at it's target.

"Arg!" Cedric shouted as it burned his shoulder. Again, I looked over. This time, Sarah Beth had her hands covering her mouth. I rolled my eyes and looked back over. Cedric quickly grabbed the Golden Egg with his other arm. everyone around me cheered.

"Hm." Draco smirked. "If He almost lost it, I can't wait to see Potter! Maybe he'll die!"

"Yeah." I breathed. Obviously, Draco knew nothing about death. I was there for my father's, and the way his eyes begged for mercy from the angels of death proved to me that it wasn't pleasant. Death wasn't good to wish on anyone, not even goody-goody Potter.

"And now for the scores!" Bagman yelled. The three judges held up the scores, but my attention was else where. On the other side of the arena the dragon handlers were taking out the first dragon and bringing out a new one.

This one was not as big as the other one. It's skin was a beautiful, shining green.

"Wow! That's a Green Welsh!" Vincent informed. I looked at him.

"How do you know so much about dragons?" I asked him.

"I got bored during the summer," He explained. "And there was a random book about dragons in my house, so yeah." He blushed.

"I see." I looked back at the dragon.

"Yeah. The cool thing about the Green Welsh is when it breaths fire, it's-" Below the Welsh took a deep breath and blew out a storm of hot, green fire.

"Green!" I finished his sentence, amazed.

The. Fire. Was. Green. Green! It was fire...and it was green! I slowly smiled, starring at it.

"Do you like it?" Vincent laughed, playfully teasing me.

"It's..."

" Beautiful?"

"More than that...."

"Like you?" Draco kissed me.

"Now that's just insulting it." I leaned my head down so a curtain of greasy, black hair covered my face.

"You're right." Draco laughed. Vincent let out a hallow cough. We all went quiet.

"Hey," Goyle got all our attention. "I think I'm going to go sit with Sarah Beth."

"Okay." We all murmurer as he made his way to sit with her. And from there we all stayed silent until the end of the task.
