I was barley running a low grade fever when the healers told me that I could leave St. Mungo'. I was feeling much better, tired and achy, but better then I had in the last two week. And it was great to be home!
The first thing I did was take as shower, which made me feel ten times better. After putting on day clothes, I went back into the sitting room, feeling super.
"You feel much better, I trust?" Uncle Severus asked.
"Completely." I sat down in one of the chairs in front of the fireplace.
"Then you wouldn't mind going to Diagon Alley today?"
"If you want to." I answered.
"Very well, come on." He reached his hand to me.
"Right now?"
"Yes." I stood up and grabbed it. He Apparated.
"Surprise!" I heard a mass of people yell. This was not Diagon Alley. I was in a dark room that I didn't recognize. I looked up; The ceiling had been bewitched to look like the night sky.
"What is this?" I exclaimed, loudly and confused.
"You should know!" Draco pushed his way out of the crowd and hugged me.
"I- what?"
"Gah," He rolled his eyes, "Do you really not know what today is?"
"No." I had lost track of times while I was in St. Mungo's.
"Think about it. It's the sixteenth..." Then it hit me.
No. No, no, no. He didn't .
"It's my birthday..." I mumbled.
"And this is your party!" He kissed me.
"I didn't want a party." I said only loud enough for him to hear.
"Well, you have one now." I blushed. Every eye in the room was on us.
"I don't even know these people." I realized that I didn't recognize many of the faces in the room.
"It's fine. I know them." I relaxed a bit. Friends of Dracos were friends of mine, right? "Let the party-ing begin!" The music suddenly got louder and the crowd fell away to dance. Draco walked away form me to join in. I was left standing there silently with Uncle Severus.
"Let's go home." I grabbed his hand.
"Gladly."

After being home for fifteen minutes, someone knocked on my bedroom door.
"Come it." I sat up and put down the book I was reading. What did Uncle Severus want now?
"Elle?" The door opened. I was surprised to see Vincent and Gregory come in. Are you okay?" Vince sat on the bed beside me.
"Yeah! You left the party!" Gregory did the same.
"It simply didn't look like much fun... and I'm still kind of tired." I explained.
"It did kind of suck."Gregory agreed.
"Seriously, what kind of music was that?" I laughed.
"Terrible." Vincent spoke up.
"Yeah. It was even worse then what you listen to!" I playfully punched him.
"It's better than what you two listen too!"
"Yeah, right!" Gregory shot back. "Oh, yeah! Happy Birthday!" He hit me over the head with something flat.
"Ow!" I softly giggled and took it from him. "You didn't have to get me anything."
"I told Mum that, but she wouldn't listen." He mischievously smiled, hinting that he was joking. I carefully unwrapped the flat parcel, being sure not to rip the quidditch themed paper.
"It this..." My eyes light up, "Is this the new Darkened Daff-E-Dills album?"
"Yeah, and a heck of a lot better then the music at your party."
"Yeah, I really hope people don't think I listen to that....That would be embarrassing."
"Here, Elle," Vincent gently handed me a rectangular package. I used the same careful procedure I had used on the other one.
"Thank you, Vince" I hugged him. He had gotten me a collapsible telescope.
"Take it out of the box." He suggested. I did. it was a smooth and golden. "Look on the side." Turning it over I saw that my name was on the side in big, block-style letters.
"I love it." I hugged him again.
"I'm glade." He blushed, "So, do you want to go back to the party?"
"No. If you really want to, we can celebrate here." I stood up. "Gumby!"
"Yes, Little Female Master?"
"Bring three piece of-what kind of cake, guys?"
"Chocolate!" Goyle yelled out.
"Chocolate cake."
"With cream-cheese icing." Added Vince.
"With cream-cheese icing."
"Anything else, Little Female Master?"
"Yes. Put some strawberries on top. Now, go." The elf bowed and Disapparated.
"So, they let you out of St. Mungo's on your birthday?" Vince questioned.
"Yep." I answered, while putting on my new album.
"Great present."
"Yeah."
"It must have been terrible laying in there all that time."
"Well, it wasn't that bed. It made me feel a bit better when you and Draco visited me-" I stopped, realizing for the first time since I had left the party that Draco hadn't come to find me.
