I'll Be There in a Flash

We head back to S.T.A.R. Labs and see Cisco work on the anti-telepathy device for Barry. Once it was finished Cisco starts to explain how it work. "So it'll protect Barry from being mind-controlled?" I ask Cisco as Barry grabs the device out of Cisco's hands. "That's the hope. But we have no way of knowing if it actually works." Caitlin says and I clear my throat. "Oh, yeah. We have our own telepathic metahuman." Caitlin says and I nod with a smile. Barry puts the device on and I look at him and think of something we both know. I couldn't get in his mind signaling that the device was working. "It works. I can't get through to his head." I say and Cisco smiles. "The tracker just came online." Cisco says and he walks over to the computer. "We have Grodd's location." Cisco says and Barry speeds us to the suit room and we change quickly. "We'll get your dad back, Iris. Promise." I say and she nods and Barry grabs my waist and we speed away.

As we speed to the location, "Barry, what's your guys' ETA?" Cisco asks and then we arrive at the location. "We're in position." Barry says and he puts on the telepathy device. "Wait for my signal." Cisco says and I look over to Barry. "Whatever happens, Bar, just know that I love you." I say and he pulls me in and kisses me then we pull away and wait for Cisco's signal. "The steam's working. Grodd's on the move." Cisco says and I look at Barry and nod. "Be careful. I'll meet you down there." I say and he nods and kisses me one more time. I go in the sewer and run to the place where Barry and Grodd would be. When I finally get there, which took me a few minutes or more, I see Barry with the device still on his head and a huge gorilla standing in front of him. I hide in the shadows and watch them. "Try some speed punches on him." Cisco tells Barry and he tries the speed punches.

"This isn't working." Barry says and I start to worry and Caitlin talks, but Grodd grabs his throat. "Barry!" I yell and Grodd turns to me and looks at me with a glare. "Tori, run." Barry says and I glare at Grodd. "Put him down." I say to Grodd and he growls at me. "Grodd... can't do that." he says in my head. "Well, Tori won't allow that." I say to him and he growls again. He throws Barry through the wall and I widen my eyes. "No!" I yell and Grodd walks through the hole in the wall and stands in front of Barry. I see that they were in the subway tunnel and I worry. Then I hear Barry scream, "No, leave him alone!" I yell at Grodd and he turns to me and throws me to the wall. I land on the floor and see Barry fall on the floor in pain. "Human weak." I hear Grodd say in my head. "You're wrong about that." I say in his head. "You're not the only one who's telepathic and telekinetic" I say and I look at Barry. I see lights in the distance and I worry more. "Barry, I don't know if you can hear me, but fight this. Just listen to my voice." I say and Barry lays flat on his back. "Remember what we're here for. Remember all those memories we had when we were little. Our first kiss. Our first date. Barry, don't leave me." I say in his head and he calms down. "Tori." he says and I widen my eyes and the train gets closer. Barry grabs my waist and we speed to the wall with my back pressed against the wall and Barry's chest against mine and our lips inches away.

"I'll never leave you." Barry says to me and I smile at him.

Once the train was gone we stare at Grodd, "Your not gonna control anyone anymore." I say in his head. Grodd jumps at us and another train was coming fast, but Barry grabbed my waist and we sped away from getting hit by the train, but Grodd got hit. Barry pants and I look at him and smile at him. Barry kisses me and I kiss him back. "You had me worried." I say to him as we pull away. "Nothing new. I always have you worried." he says and I smile and shake my head and kiss him. "Enough with making out, find my dad." Iris says in our earpiece and I pull away and nod at Barry. We speed around the sewer and find Joe sitting on the floor in pain. "Joe." me and Barry say at the same time. "Barry. Tori." he says in a scared tone. "Please get me out of here." Joe says and we nod. "Barry. Tori." Iris calls us. "We're bringing him back home." I say to Iris and look at Barry.

When we got back to S.T.A.R. Labs, we put Joe on the bed and we changed into our regular clothes. We go down to the pipeline to check on Eiling. Barry opens the door and we see Eiling and he looks at us. "Mr. Allen. Ms. Gomez. How nice of you both to visit. Exactly how long do you both intend to keep me prisoner?" Eiling asks and I sigh and look at Barry as he opens the cell. "Your brain scans are normal which means Grodd is no longer controlling you. This prison is for metahumans, so you're free to go." Barry says and I nod. Eiling slowly walks out of the cell and then walks away normally. "You will get what's coming to you eventually." I say to him and he looks at me and Barry. "I'm not ashamed of my actions, Ms. Gomez. You've seen what these metahumans are capable of. Soon your prison won't be enough." Eiling says. "Not all metahumans are dangerous." Barry says to him.

"You both are afraid that I know you both are the Flash and Hummingbird." he says and I squeeze Barry's hand.

"Don't get your tights in a twist. I've known for months. If I wanted to come after either of you, I'd have done it by now." he says and turns to walk away.

"But you think you're gonna need us." Barry says stopping him and he turns to face us again.

"Harrison Wells turned me over to that beast. He used me like a damn puppet. So like it or not, we have a common enemy, you two and I. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a gorilla to hunt." he says and walks away.

I look over to Barry and see him look in the path that Eiling walked in. Me and Barry walk up to the Cortex and head into the room with the treadmill and we sit on the steps. I lay my head on Barry's shoulder and we just sit there in silence. "Maybe it's a good thing we didn't catch Grodd. Where would we put him?" Caitlin asks and we laugh. "I mean, the pipeline isn't exactly equipped to hold a super-intelligent, telepathic gorilla." Caitlin says as her and Cisco walk in and I laugh. "It's weird he got the smarts and the powers and I got the powers." I say and they all laugh. "Joe mentioned that Grodd called Wells, "Father." Wells must've ordered Grodd to come after us. It's why Grodd didn't kill Joe. I think Joe was right. Everything Grodd did, it was just to distract us." Barry says and I wrap my arm around Barry's arm. "What's going on? You ok?" Barry asks Cisco who was dazed off.

"Just thinking about this headset. It wasn't strong enough. You could've been killed out there, man." Cisco says.

"It kept me out of Barry's mind." I say.

"Yeah, but you barely found out about your telepathic powers and you still have the possibility of a force field ability." Cisco says.

"No, dude, your tech worked. And it proved that we don't need Wells. The four of us took on Grodd and rescued Joe. Together we can do anything." Barry says and I smile at him and he smiles at me.

"Actually it was the five of us." Caitlin says talking about Iris and I purse my lips.

Me and Barry head up to the rooftop where Iris' spot is where I'm guessing she first met the Flash. "Hey." Barry says and Iris turns to face us. "Hey. How did you guys know I was here?" she asks. "This is your spot." I say to her with a smile. "Yeah, it's a special spot. It's where I first met the Flash." she says and I look at Barry. "Yeah, well I wasn't in on the picture until the Trickster came into play." I say looking at Barry. "I didn't know you had powers yet way before that." he said and I nod and roll my eyes. "All those times, you were standing right in front of me and I had no idea. I don't even know you guys anymore." she says and I look down. "Even though you didn't know about our lives this past year, that does not mean you weren't a part of it. You were." Barry says and I nod. "And we promise we'll bring Eddie back." I say to her and she nods. "Can we go out for a sundae now. Because all this fighting calls for a big ice cream sundae." I say and Barry and Iris laugh. We all head to the ice cream place and get a large ice cream sundae to split between the three of us.
