I'll Be There in a Flash

I called in sick today for work and headed to S.T.A.R. Labs to meet Barry, so we could work on his mom's murder case. Instead of finding Barry waiting for me, I find him playing chess with Dr. Wells, playing Ping-Pong with Cisco, and playing Operation with Caitlin. I leaned on the wall and laughed at him but I was kind of angry with him too. "Are you just gonna play chess, Ping-Pong, and operation all day, or are you gonna actually say hi to your girlfriend and promise that date later tonight?" I ask out loud and everyone turns to stare at me. Barry speeds over to me and kisses me quick and then he heads back to the ping pong table. "Hi, Tori." everyone says and I roll my eyes. "What are you doing here?" Barry asks. "We were supposed to work on something, but I guess we can just forget about it." I say and he pinches the bridge of his nose. "I forgot. I'm sorry." he says and I shake my head. "It's ok. Just keep doing what your doing and I'll sit with Caitlin." I say and he gives me a sad look. I smile and shake my head and walk over to him and peck his lips.

I sit with Caitlin and see the Operation game as she keeps her focus on that one piece she's trying to get. Barry keeps playing ping pong with Cisco then Dr. Wells calls out, "Checkmate." Barry speeds back to him and looks at the board confusingly, "Wait checkmate?" Barry asks and I laugh at him. "Checkmate. I guess we still have a few things to learn, don't we, Mr. Allen?" Dr. Wells asks and leans back in his wheelchair. "Armed robbery at Fourth and Kolins." Cisco yells as the computer beeps and shows the location. "For the record, I crushed it in Ping-Pong and Operation." Barry says as he walks to his suit and I walk over to him. "You sure did, baby." I say with a little giggle putting my hand on his shoulder and he laughs. He kisses me quickly and when he pulls away he changes quickly and speeds out. "I love it when he does that." I say and Cisco smiles at me and Caitlin does too, but turns back to the game and puts the tweezers in the hole but the buzzer goes off and we all laugh except her. "It's not as easy as it looks." she says and I laugh. Barry was taking down the robbers and soon we hear gunshots being fired and I start to worry, but his vitals were fine so he wasn't shot at.

"Where's the nearest hospital?" Barry asks and Caitlin walks over to the computer and looks.

"St. Andrews. Seven blocks north, two east." she says.

"Call the ER, tell them they have an incoming GSW." he says and she does as told.

Soon Barry runs in and changes out of his suit and into his clothes. "Tori, I'll pick you up at your house later, ok? I gotta get to work before I get in trouble with Captain Singh." he says walking up to me. "Ok, I'll see you then." I say and kiss him and walk out of S.T.A.R. Labs. As I walk, I can't help but think about Iris and Eddie. Iris told me yesterday over the phone that she told Joe about her and Eddie being a couple. And knowing Joe, he's gonna be worried about Eddie breaking her heart whether he gets killed on the job or breaks up with Iris.

I was relaxing at home just watching Full House re-runs on TV, when I get a text from Iris saying that she had told Barry about the blog. I was worried if she told him that I knew about it, soon the doorbell rang and I knew that was Barry. I opened the door and sure enough it was him looking angry yet confused. "You knew Iris made a blog about me?" he asks storming inside the house. "Technically it's the Streak, but it's still you, and she told me first. She told me that she didn't want me to tell you. She wanted to tell you herself." I say and Barry runs a hand through his hair. "I don't want her or you to get hurt because of me, Tori. Me being a superhero could put you both in danger." he says and looks down. I grab his hand and lift his head so he looks at me, "I don't care if it puts me in danger, Barry. I love you and I wanna be with you." I say to him. "You know that this is bad, Tori. Why didn't you tell her that when she told you?" he asks again.

"You know how she's passionate about writing, Bar, and she was really interested in this subject. If you want her to stop, you're going to have to tell her yourself." I say to him.
