I'll Be There in a Flash

I wake up at 9AM and I take a quick shower, put on my makeup, curl my hair, put on a navy blue skirt, a navy blue and white stripped crop top, a white cardigan, and white open toed pumps. Jake was gonna pick me up today and that gave me some time to eat breakfast. I ate a small bowl of cereal and then I hear the doorbell ring. I open the door and see Jake standing there, "Hey, Jake. I just need to get my purse and my phone really quick." I say and he nods. "You can come inside." I say and he comes in and shuts the door behind him. I quickly run up to my room and grab my phone and my white mini purse. When I come down, my dad was out of his room and looking at Jake. "Oh, morning, daddy." I say and peck his cheek. "Morning, sweetheart. Who's this?" he asks motioning to Jake.

"Daddy, this is my co-worker, Jake." I say and he shakes Jake's hand.

"Where's Barry?" my dad asks and I look down.

"Dad, I told you this a few weeks ago. We broke up, and before you ask, me and Jake aren't dating. And we gotta get to work, so I'll see you later." I kiss his cheek and I start to walk with Jake.

"Ok, bye." he says and I smile and close the door behind me.

When we get to the restaurant, we start to rehearse and I look at Jake and smile at him. After rehearsals, I get a text from Barry saying for me to meet him at the precinct. I look up at Jake and he looks at me with a smile. "Is something wrong?" Jake says and I shake my head. "No. It's nothing." I say and put my phone in my purse. "I was wondering if you'd like to go out for lunch?" Jake asks and I look at him and blush. "You mean, like a date?" I ask and he smiles and nods. I smile at him and nod moving a strand of my hair out of my face. Jake takes me to Jitters and he gets me a vanilla latte and he got black coffee. We kept talking and laughing, when I suddenly get a call from Barry. "Sorry, I have to take this." I say and he nods. "Hello?" I answer the phone and wait for Barry to yell.

"Tori, where the hell are you? I wanted you to meet me at the precinct." he says.

"I'm at Jitters with Jake. He kind of asked me out and I said yes." I say and bite my lip.

"Oh. That's good for you." he says pausing for a moment.

"Not the point. I need to talk to you about Snart." he says and I look back at Jake then look down.

"Fine. Should I go to the precinct or S.T.A.R. Labs?"

"Meet me at my place. I'll see you there." he says.

"Ok. I'll see you there." I say and then hang up.

I head back to Jake and sit across from him, "Is everything ok, because that call took forever." he says and I look at him. "Everything's fine. I just have to meet a friend of mine near the Big Belly Burger on Seventh." I say and he nods. "Ok, I'll drop you off there." he says and I smile at him and nod. I feel bad for leaving Jake like this, but it's an emergency. Jake stops near Big Belly Burger and I look at him. "Thanks for the ride, Jake." I say and he shrugs. "It's nothing, really. I'll just say dinner tomorrow at a Mexican place." he says and I blush with a smile and nod. He looks down at my lips and I look at his and he crashes his lips on mine. I liked Jake, but I didn't have that fireworks feeling like I did when I kissed Barry. He slowly pulls away and I bite my lip, "Bye, Jake." I say starting to open the car door. "Bye, Tori." he says and I get out and wait for him to drive away before I head to Barry's apartment building.

I knock on Barry's door and see him look at me with those soft eyes again. "Can you please stop staring at me like that." I say as I walk in and he shuts the door and sits a few feet away from me. "I decided I'm not going after Snart. I'm going after the man in yellow and I need to get faster, so I can beat him." he says. "That's your choice. I'm choosing to go after him. No matter if it's with or without you." I say crossing my arms. "Don't you think that you can get stronger and faster if you face Snart though. I know the Reverse-Flash is extremely dangerous, Bar, but so is Snart." I say again and he looks down. "I need to go to Joe's to get something from Iris." Barry says and I nod. "I gotta head over there too. I promised Iris I'd help her pack." I say and he nods.

"Listen, Bar, I'm not mad that you don't wanna catch Snart, but if you change your mind, I'll be happy with that too." I say and Barry smiles.

When we get to Joe's, we see both Joe and Iris surrounded by boxes. "Hey, you two here to help pack?" Joe asks. "Oh, no. Iris said that she had something for me." Barry says and I look at the two. "I promised Iris I'd help pack, so I'm here to stay." I say and Joe smiles. Iris walks past me and grabs Barry's old backpack. "I found this in my closet." Iris says and we all laugh. "How did that get here from my house?" I ask and Barry shrugs. "I think I remember Barry giving it to me for a trip me and my dad were gonna take a long time ago." she says and I laugh. Barry opens the backpack to find his old comics in them. "So you took the comic books with you on the trip?" I ask with a little chuckle. "Barry forgot to unpack them and I set them aside and made sure they stayed in mint condition. I guess I forgot to give it back." Iris says and I laugh. Barry looks up at me and I look at him for a minute then look away, "Iris, I totally forgot that I had to meet my co-worker for song selections. I'll try to come back and help." I say and she looks at me oddly and slowly nods. I look at Barry then I walk out of the house. I stood there for a moment and then I walk with my arms crossed.
