I woke up with Sasha practically pinning me down. I had to shove her off and then I headed down stairs. It was little after 7 when Hope came down and got her coffee.
Hope: Thanks for making the coffee
Me: No problem
Hope: Have you finished unpacking yet?
Me: No I planned on doing that today
Hope: That's fine but you better hurry up and go get your stuff for today because I'm guessing you didn't set anything out.
Me: Crap!
Hope: Baby Horse don't trip please.
I barely heard Hope as I ran upstairs. I grabbed my suitcase and found my cleats and shin guards. I rummaged around and found my socks and shorts but I couldn't find my training shirt. I changed into my shorts and socks and put everything else in my soccer bag and ran back downstairs.
Hope: You ready to go?
Me: I can't find my training shirt
Hope: I should have one in the car if not I know I have one in my locker.
Me: Okay then I'm good to go
We got in the car and Hope drove us to the facility. The shirt wasn't in her car so we headed to the locker room. I made only a couple feet into the locker room when I was tackled to the ground.
Me: What the hell?
Pinoe: Baby Horse! You're back
Me: (cough) yeah its good to you too Pinhead
Hope: Damn Pinoe don't hurt her
Pinoe: Sorry here.
Pinoe helped me up. I put my stuff in my locker and Hope tossed me her shirt. It was too big and it covered my shorts when I stood. I put my shin guards and cleats on and joined the team outside for warmups.
Pinoe: Dang Baby Horse where are your pants?
Me: I have them on Pinhead. I couldn't find my shirt so I had to wear Hope's.
We did our stretches and then moved into passing drills. We did some shooting and then ended with a full field scrimmage. My team won 2-0 and then we headed back to the locker room. Hope drove us home. Hope let the dogs in and we sat down at the table.
Me: Well I'm going to unpack and then call Kathrine.
Hope: I'm going to shower and then make lunch so I'll call you down when I'm done.
Me: Alright
I went upstairs to my room. I put on shorts and a sports bra. I turned on my playlist and unpacked my suitcases. Once I finished I laid on my bed and called Kathrine.
Kathrine: Kathrine Young
Me: Hey it's Savannah
Kathrine: Oh hey
Me: I'm just letting you know I'm in town in case you wanted to meet in person.
Kathrine: Yes actually could we meet Wednesday at 1?
Me: Yeah I can do that
Kathrine: Great I will see you then.
Me: Okay bye.
I hung up and then checked my social media. I had gotten through Tumblr and Instagram and was halfway through Twitter when Hope knocked on my door.
Hope: Hey lunch is ready.
Me: Okay thanks
We went down to the kitchen and grabbed our plates. We sat down at the table to eat.
Me: So I have a meeting with Kathrine at 1 Wednesday
Hope: Well I planned on going shopping so you can take the jeep that day.
Me: Okay I'm going to grab lunch before the meeting; do you want me to grab you anything?
Hope: No I'll get something at the store.
Me: Okay well after we finish eating I'm going to go for a run if you want to join?
Hope: Nope I'm good Paul has a workout tomorrow.
Me: ooh have fun with that
Hope: Watch it or I might make him make one for you.
Me: You better not. Anyways I'm heading out for my run.
I went upstairs and put on my neon green and grey sports bra and matching shorts outfit from the Nike photoshoot. I went to the driveway and did my stretches and turned on my playlist before I started my run. I ran through the park and then through town. I turned around and then headed back. When I got to the park there was a group of people about to start a soccer game. They didn't look like an actual team so I walked over. When I got closer a couple of guys came up to me.
Max: Hey I'm Max
Jett: and I'm Jett
Me: Hey I'm Savannah
Max: We were just about start a soccer game want to join?
Me: I don't have any cleats with me.
Jett: What size are you? I'm sure somebody has some.
Me: 8 in women's and 6.5 in men's
Max: That's Jenny's size and she usually has her extra pair.
We walked over to a girl who was sitting on a bench putting on her cleats.
Jett: Hey Jen would you mind lending Savannah your extra cleats?
Jenny: Ye... omg your Savannah Solo
Me: Yeah I am
Jenny: You really do look like Alex Morgan. I don't mean to be creepy or anything but I saw your posts with her
Max: I knew you looked familiar. So you play with Alex Morgan?
Me: Yes and no. I'm not officially on a team with her but I have trained with her and played against her.
Jett: That is so cool
Jenny: Well here you go I hope they fit.
Me: Thank you. Oh I have to make a call real quick and then I'll join.
Max: No problem whenever you're ready you on the skins team with me and Jett.
Me: Okay thanks
I put on the cleats and then called Hope.
Hope: Hey Baby Horse what's up?
Me: Well I go invited to play a pickup game at the park so that's what I'm doing now
Hope: Okay that's fine
Me: thanks well I have to go bye Hope.
Hope: Bye
I put my phone in my tennis shoe and then joined the guys in warmups. We finished warming up and then started the game. We played for about an hour. Max and both had four goals each. Our team won 8-2. Once we finished I gave Jenny her cleats back. Jenny turned back to me.
Jenny: I know this is kind of weird but would mind signing these?
Me: Of course
Max: hey Jen can you take our picture? If that's okay with you Savannah.
Me: that's fine
Jett: Here use my phone Jenny.
The guys got on both sides of me and out their arms around me so I did the same.
Jett: Thank you
Jenny: Here take mine now
Jenny and I posed and then my phone rang.
Me: Oh I have to take this
Me: Hey Hope what's up?
Hope: do you want me to come pick you up when you are done?
Me: Yeah we are actually done now
Hope: Okay be there soon Baby Horse
Me: Bye Hope
Jenny: Oh my god was that Hope Solo?
Me: Yeah it was. I stay with her when I'm in Seattle she's like a second mom to me.
Max: We are going to have another pick up Wednesday and then again Friday.
Me: I can do Wednesday but Seattle Reign plays Friday.
Jenny: Really is it here in Seattle?
Me: Yeah I can get you tickets if you want.
Jett: Definitely if you can get them.
Me: Okay well there is Hope bye guys
I walked to the car and got in. On the way home Hope asked me about the game and who I was with.
Me: It was great and that was Max, Jett, and Jenny. I actually have a question.
Hope: What is it?
Me: Could I get 3 tickets for Friday's game to give to them?
Hope: Yeah we can get them tomorrow
Me: also after my meeting with Kathrine I'm going to play pick up again.
Hope: Okay as long as you're back by 7 for dinner.
Me: No problem
Hope pulled into the garage and we got out. Hope already had dinner ready so we sat down and ate. We watched a movie together and then went to bed.
