Sabrina and I were up and at breakfast by 9. After we ate Sabrina went back to the room while I had to go ice my nose. In the time we had before the meeting I found a ball and did my normal routine. I came back and went to Coach French's room.
French: I only have the one game on Japan so comment as we go.
Casey: They keep the ball to long, so we need to keep high pressure
Kelcie: they aren't strong through the middle
Me: they spread out so look for the through balls.
French: good well you all head to lunch
The 11 of us got up and went to lunch. When we finished out gear was ready so we grabbed it and headed to our rooms. We changed and then started a movie. We headed to the lobby and then loaded the bus an hour later. The bus pulled into the stadium and we went to the locker room. We changed and then went through warmups. We put on our jerseys and then took the field.
The ref blew the whistle and we were off. The first half was tough and nobody scored even though we had chances. In the locker room we refueled and listened to Coach French. We went back out and 10 minutes in we did our plan we came up with. Kelcie had the ball and went up to challenge the last defender. The defender came up and as she did I ran behind Kelcie and collected the drop pass. I got in the box and shot. The ball hit the post and went in to make it 1-0. The rest of the half finally came to end and we were relieved.
I did the player of the match photo and interview before heading to the locker room. 2 hours later we got back to the hotel and had dinner. We all ate and then showered before going to bed.
