I woke up at 7:30 and made a tweet to Kelley before going to breakfast.
Me: I hope you liked your birthday goal Squirrel! @kohara19
Kelley: I sure did! Great game Baby Horse. #keepslaying @SavannahSolo18
At breakfast I sat down and everybody was looking at me.
Me: What?
Sabrina: did you look in the mirror this morning?
Me: No why?
Casey: because you got a nice bruise going there.
Me: No! really?
Cady: Yes really. Here comes Coach French.
French: Morning ladies, great game last night. We have recovery this morning and then a light training after lunch. Oh and nice bruise you got going there Baby Horse.
Me: Dang it!
Everybody laughed and headed to recovery. Our group did our normal routine pool, yoga, and ice baths. My group went to their rooms while I stayed back so Dave could look at my nose.
Dave: it's not broken or fractured but it's definitely bruised but I want you to put the ice on it so it doesn't swell.
Me: thank you.
I took the ice and went to my room. I laid face down so I didn't have hold the ice. 15 minutes later I threw away the ice and went to lunch. After I ate I went to get my training gear but mine wasn't put out and I found Coach French.
French: oh Baby Horse you're not training today
Me: what why?
French: because of your nose. I don't want it to get hit
Me: I can still play Friday right?
French: yes, I just want you out for tonight and everybody has the day off tomorrow anyways.
Me: Okay then while at training can I call Hope
French: yes you can
I put on the team shorts and our travel t-shirt. I grabbed my watch and tennis shoes and then went to the bus with the girls. They went through warmups and moved into a drill, so I called Hope.
Hope: Hey Baby Horse, what time is it there?
Me: around 2, for you?
Hope: about 9. I saw your game how is your nose? Also what is around you?
Me: I'm at training but I am sitting out for my nose. It's just bruised and swelled a little.
Hope: Ouch it looked like it hurt.
Me: yeah and it bled like no other.
Hope: I saw glimpse but then I went back to the game,
Hope: How is your thumb?
Me: honestly I would probably forget if I didn't have a cast. It doesn't hurt anymore.
Hope: good
Me: yeah this cast is annoying. It's harder to do everything.
Hope: yeah that's what happens when you only have one moving thumb
Me: thank you I realized that
Hope: watch the sass Baby Horse
Me: sorry. Well I have to go training is ending
Hope: alright bye Baby Horse
Me: bye Hope
We went the hotel and ate dinner before headingto our rooms. Sabrina and I showered and the watched PLL until we fell asleep. c='/i%vEE\
