Chapter 14: I need to explain

Caleb's P.O.V

Today's going to be a good day. I can just feel it. Last nights date with Nova could not of went better. I got to kiss her and I got to hold her. That's all I've been thinking of doing lately; holding her in my arms. I love the feeling of it. She's mine and I'm hers. I cannot wait till tomorrow! Since last night I won in bowling, she has to go on another date with me. Gosh I'm so smart o doing that bet! What should we do? Hmm maybe a movie.. no to cliche. Golf.. no boring. Oh I know.. Go-Carting!

I look over at the clock and I read that it was 8:12. "SHIT" I shout. Crap, crap, crap! I'm going to be late and I wanted to surprise Nova this morning by picking her up and grabbing some breakfast! Ugh maybe tomorrow? Yes tomorrow. I hurry up brush my teeth, throw on a white v-neck shirt that hugs me, dark pants, my leather jacket. I don't really mess with my hair because quiet frankly, I don't really care. I check the time and it's 8:30. I'm going to be really late so I rush downstairs and shout "BYE MOM! BYE ELLY LOVE YOU GUYS!!" And with that I'm out the door, in my car and heading to school.

I get to school and I see that Nova's car is here. Of course she would be here. I walk in and the halls are basically swept empty except for a couple students who is still at their locker or making their way to their classes. I'm making my way to 1st period and I hear a guys voice and a girls voice. Nova and Harry. I'm close enough to see that they're hugging but not close enough to hear their conversation. I see that they're goofing around, laughing and I think they're flirting. These actions are starting to make my blood boil. I see that Nova jumped on his back and he gripped her thighs. He gripped and the top of her thighs, a little to high that I'd like. They're now swerving around like a plane and now I'm becoming raged. This is what jealously does. A part of me wants to be Harry, to have the honor of Nova on my back and to have the honor of gripping her thighs.

I have gotten tired of watching this so I storm off and take the short cut to class wanting to get there before Nova and Harry get there. By the time I get to class Nova and Harry are not there and the final bell just went off. I made my way to my seat keeping my head down and avoiding all eye contact. I'm pissed as fuck and I don't want to face Nova. About 3-4 minutes later Nova and Harry come barging in. Nova is still on Harry's back and they're laughing. Loud. They get into trouble and here comes Harry saving the day for Nova and takes full responsibility. The entire class period Nova had been trying to get my attention and I just act like she's a brick wall. I feel kind of guilty doing this but hey, I bet she wasn't guilty leading me on while she was with Harry. But wait.. are they even together.. still I don't care. From what I saw it looked like they are. As soon as the end of the period bell goes off and zoom out of the class room ignoring the calling of my name from Nova.

It's finally lunch time and on my way to lunch Jessica spots me and pushes me up against the lockers and kisses me. And my first reaction is to kiss back and then I remember 'Oh crap Nova!' but then I remember Harry and her earlier so I got two words to say. Screw. It. I start to kiss back and we were really going at it until someone interferes. Nova. She grabs Jessica's hair and yanks her to the floor. Ouch, looks like that hurt.

"Caleb what the HELL are you doing with that whore." She screamed. I looked around and we already have a crowd. Great. More attention which equals more drama and we all know I love drama. Hint the sarcasm. I look and smirked. "Well sweet cheeks what does it look like?" I said sounding like a dick head.

"You know what Caleb. Screw you. I thought you were finally changing, becoming better. What about yesterday? Monday? The things you said to me? Or was it part of this little game?" She said and by now she's crying. I wanted to so badly walk over to her, wrap my arms around her and wipe those tears away. But, I couldn't. I already screwed up so what do I do? I screw up more.

"Nova, I was just looking for a good fuck. It was taking so long so I just helped myself with Jessica. Oh and sorry baby but no one can change me. I'm Caleb Rydner for sake." I said not processing it before I said it and I just digged me a hole that I can no longer get out of.

She just stood there. Staring at me with no words. I know by this point I broke her. She walked up to me, looked me straight in the eyes and whispered/yelled, "Fine, it's what you want. I'm done Caleb. Don't ever speak to me ever again." And with that, she turned around and ran. Once she was out of my sites I see that Kayden is making his way to me. I just stand there looking at him. Him looking at me and then he punched me. Square in the jaw. "SHIT!" I yelled and then Kayden grabbed Zoe and then they left. I deserved that, I would fought back but he's Nova's best friend and then she would really never forgive me. I looked around and there is still a crowd so I yell, "I'M GIVING YOU ALL 5 SECONDS TO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE OR ELSE YOU'LL REGRET NOT LEAVING." And in seconds the halls are swept clean.

I pull out my phone looking for Nova's number, I need to talk with her ASAP. This wasn't suppose to happen. I need to explain myself.
