Chapter 1: The Beginning

I hit the the snooze button on the alarm clock not wanting to wake up on that Monday for the first day of school. I was dreading going back to school. All of the sudden, Alex, my annoying brother comes in with pots and pans bagging them together to wake me up. He just has a death wish doesn't he?

"Wake up, wake up!! It's the first day of SCHOOL!!" Alex screamed.

"Don't act like I don't know Alex. Now get the hell out of here so I can wake up fully and get ready!" I screamed obviously annoyed because he woke me up.

Alex walks out with a amused expression. Now time to get ready, great. I have exactly 1 hour and a half to get ready so I decided to hop in the shower. Listening to my favorite song while showering defiantly helped me relax for today. Now that I'm out, I go to my bedroom to dry off and get ready. I went to pick my out fit out, I decided on light washed skinny jeans with the cuffs rolled up, a floral crop top, a light pink cardigan and for my shoes, white high top converse. I decided to curl my hair into mermaid waves and I didn't really needs makeup because to be honest, I looked better without it.

I stood in front of my full length mirror and wow .... I look really different. I look tanner, my smile lines have gotten deeper, my hair has gotten longer and i've gotten a bit taller. I've grown up so much since last year.

I make my way downstairs to eat breakfast. And when I got downstairs, Alex was there with breakfast already cooked and everything. Wow.. this has NEVER happened without him almost burning the house down!

"I'm glad to see you up and ready." Alex said happily.

"Well you practically forced me or else you would keep being obnoxious with your pots and pans." I said annoyed.

"We got 10 minutes to eat before we have to go and pick up Zoe! God I miss her, she came back last night from London!!" I said excitedly.

"Cool I guess? I don't really care. She's your best friend not mine." He said with food in his mouth. For the next 10 minutes we ate in a comfortable silence, all you could hear were the crickets chirping and us chewing and swallowing food.

After we were finished eating I went upstairs and grabbed my leather bag.. it kinda looked like a messenger bag. On the way coming down I just remember to grab my wallet, keys, and phone so I went back up to get it. When I came back down I looked and saw that Alex was already waiting in my yellow coverable . I asked him if he wants roof up or let it down and of course he said down. It only took me about 5 seconds to get to Zoe's house due to the fact that she lives only 2 houses down. If you ask me why don't she just walk over, to be honest, I don't really know. It's just always been like this.

She runs out of the house screaming my name and I jump out of my car and run to her so we can hug. God I missed my best friend, I haven't seen her the entire summer. But hey, I'm happy for her because her dream was to always to to London and it came true! As soon as we separated from our huge hug, I was so shocked. My mouth flew open.

"Z..Z..ZOE YOU LOOK ACTUALLY QUEIT TAN!! OMG YOU NEED TO GO TO LONDON MORE OFTEN!!" I screamed causing weird looks from her across the street neighbour, Mr. Hernandez. She gave me a bunch of mixed looks. A look where she was happy mixed with the death glare.

"Why thank you. It's been about 10 years of Kayden, Harry and of you teasing me!!" She said giggling.

I looked at her outfit and noticed she was wearing a black skater skirt to show off her long, slightly tan legs, she was wearing a 'pow' comic book designed crop top with long sleeve and for her shoes, she was wearing black combat boots. Her hair was in a messy bun but it looked picture perfect. She finally started to wear make up barley. She had on mascara with a nude eyeshadow with a black winged eyeliner. I grabbed her hand and we ran to the car heading off to school.
