Hey everyone, before you read I just wanted to say that this chapter was really hard for me to write. I can't bring myself to write from the point of view of cruel characters and I literally felt sick writing it. Sorry if its kind of bad. :/ Check out the A/N if you can after reading.

While I was changing in my room, Devon passed me all that I needed to change into. When I finished I was three inches taller, looked like i was top heavy (thanks to an over sized sweater, and a pair of tight leggings making my legs look thinner than they actually were), and like i tried every drug in the world. My hair was tied in a knot at the top of my head and I had no makeup on.
"How do I look?" I asked Devon when I came out. I had my hood over my head pulled tight with the draw strings so my hair wouldn't show.
"You look fantastic." Devon laughed and pulled my hood apart a little to see my face. "We better get going now because we don't know exactly when Aiden is going to get back and we need to make sure that he doesn't come back to an empty house."
"Okay." I said grabbing my cellphone, and wallet with all the money I had saved up. Devon grabbed his backpack and the paperwork we would need to buy tickets to Miami.
I followed Devon outside the back door into Aiden and Hailey's neighbor's yard. He jumped the fence with ease but I took a little longer. Once we were in the neighbor's yard we walked quietly but quickly because technically we were trespassing and that was the last thing that we needed.
We made it out of the yard, without getting their dog to bark or anyone to come outside and yell at us, and reached a car with California licence plates.
"Get in." Devon said as he held the door open for me.
I nodded and fastened my seat belt. Devon got into the driver's seat and ignited the engine.
"Where did you get this car?" I asked when we were driving down the road.
Devon's eyes shifted as they looked at passing cars when we came to the end of the street. He shifted the gears and replied. "I know a lot of people. When I was working with your dad I didn't like it. I felt dirty and sick for selling people and everyone knew it. The people working for Nelson knew if I said I wanted to quit I would get shot, so people would try to keep me a little happier. I mean it doesnt make up for the fact that I still helped people buy other people for...you know. But I knew people understood that I had gotten caught up in the wrong crowd and now had no way out even though I wanted to leave. I've kept in touch and I've done favors so this is just a cash in for favor's I've done."
I nodded understanding how the car came to be.
We kept driving for a little bit when all of a sudden Devon looked into the rear view mirror and his pupils completely dilated. His grey-ish orbs went almost black as he looked back.
"What's wrong?" I asked. His eyes went back to the way they were before but only for moment.
"Nothing." he said calmly but his eyes dilated again. When I was little we would play truth or dare and I had picked up on a few things about Devon. There were times where he would lie and the way I knew about it was by his eyes, they would dilate when ever he was lying. They wouldn't dilate as much as when he was scared or knew there was a problem but I knew him long enough to notice the slight change.
I looked in the rear view and almost burst out laughing. I saw Aiden in his car dancing to a song that was so loud, our car was shaking.
"You're scared Aiden's going to catch us?" I asked laughing.
