The trip to Kinley's house was not too long. The airport was about twenty five minutes away. When we got closer to the house the city faded and the suburbs began. The houses were huge and spacious with large lawns and porches.

Then we drove up to Kinley's house. It was a beautiful white mansion style house. There were pillars in the front and a spacious porch with a table and chairs near a swing. A tree in the front made a shadow fall across the front of the house making the part with sunlight look brighter than normal.

The pathway leading up to the house was white stone with lavender and baby blue flowers along the side. They looked like little bells and when the wind came they swayed because they were so delicate.

A bay window was lined with crisp silver curtains and white tassels on the inside. On the outside the window had black trim. From where I was standing I could see pillows and books on the window sill and I could imagine reading while drinking a piña colada.

"Mia!" Xavier broke into my mind.

"Wha?" I ripped my thoughts from the scene in front of me and looked at Xavier a little startled with his voice. He put my suitcase down at my feet.

"I know I' m the best bf there is but come on. Help me out with the bags?" He smiled a lopsided smile and I wanted to burst out laughing. He was too perfect.

I walked over and helped him unload the bags along with he rest of us. Aiden was already walking up the front steps and Hailey and Grayer had just taken their last bag.

Xavier took his bag and set on the floor rolling it behind and walking up to the door.

I trailed behind a little slower taking in all the details and perfections of the house. By the time I got to the door the knob was being turned and the door swung open revealing who I thought to be Kinley. She burst out and threw her arms around the neck of her brother and kissed him on the cheek. It was clear they were close.

Suddenly I felt shy and worried. Hailey greeted Kinley after Xavier, followed by Grayer and a flirtatious Aiden. I was last.

"You must be Mia." Kinley said with a smile.

I nodded numbly. The resemblance between her brother was stunning. They shared the same skin tone and brown hair. But Kinley's eyes were grey and seemed tired. You could tell she was someone who had suffered and had gone through very much. But only I knew that it had been at the hands of my father.

My late father.

Kinley welcomed us all into the house shortly after everyone saying hello to her. The house was nothing short of my expectations after seeing how immaculate the outside of the house was. The floors were polished, the walls painted with bright cool colors, and the furniture was like a display room in a fancy modern store.

She brought us each to our rooms and told us that she had ordered some food and it would arrive in a while.

Hailey and Grayer, after much fighting with Aiden agreed that they could share the room as long as Aiden slept on the floor.

Xavier and I spilt the second room. The idea of splitting the room was a bit unsettling because i was never alone in a closed room with a guy but I had other things on my mind that were a bit more worrying.
