After spending the night curled up next to Xavier, a good thing, everything kind of went downhill from there, a bad thing. After the visit to jail I kind of made my self sick from the memories about my dad and crying but I also caught a nasty forty-eight hour virus keeping me bed ridden for almost three days. The only good thing that came out of it was that Xavier was by my side at all times. I missed my chance at visiting Devon again and that just made things worse. A million thoughts were in my head and I couldn't seem to even think of one alone.

that just made things worse. I felt dizzy and lightheaded.

When I felt a little better I finally was able to walk downstairs. I felt like I hadn't seen the world in days. It had only been three but I was aching to go outside and feel the sun on my skin instead of the light bulbs that were hanging above the bead Kinley had provided for Xavier and I.

"Hey!" Aiden greeted me at the foot of the stairs. "Hailey and Grayer are out to the movies." He grimaced. I smiled at his brotherly-ness.

"Oh." was all I said. It was a little awkward to be in the room alone. The house was silent except for the quiet t.v in the living room. Aiden had his hands full with a plate of snacks and cold cuts and a glass of soda.

"Care to join?" he asked. There's a Monk marathon. I know you love it." He pushed the plate towards me and the smell of salami, ham and bacon hit my nose. My mouth watered and my stomach growled and I walked towards him as he walked over to the living room. Plopping down on the couch i heard Xavier's voice.

"Hey man did you bring the food?" He turned to look at the person walking in and saw me. "Hey! You're up!" He jumped off the couch and walked over to me pulling me into a hug. I felt warm and my less felt like jell-o with his arms around me.

"Yea. The whole bedroom scene and being in bed all day is boring." I said into his chest muffled by his thick sweater.

We took our places on the couch to watch the marathon. Aiden wasn't exaggerating when he said I loved that show. It was my favorite show out there. We stayed that way watching t.v until it was dinner time. Once again Kinley ordered food and we ate it in one sitting.

After dinner Xavier came p to me while I was cleaning the dishes from the food.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" He hugged me from behind. "Fresh air would be good for you."

I dried my hands on the towel by the sink. "I guess I can." I turned to face Xavier. He brushed a strand of hair behind my ear and I ran up to change into comfy clothes to walk outside. I took the first pair of sweat pants and the first tee I saw. Throwing it on I slipped on my sneakers over neon blue socks and headed out. i realized at the door to the bedroom that I didn't have my phone so I went back to look for it.

"There it is." I breathed as I jogged back to the bed and picked it up off the covers.

Because of habit I checked my phone thinking that I wouldn't see any new messages or calls on my screen since the people I kept in contact most were all here in Miami or my mother. I had called her the other day telling her that I was sick and she had told me she was busy.

I was about to hit the button to listen to the voice mail when my phone began to ring. I nearly jumped when the noise pierced the air.

The screen said the number was private and not available. I took a minute but then I answered it.

"Hello?" I answered.

The line was quiet

"Hello?" I asked again.

The line was still quiet. My finger was above the screen button to hang up the call when I heard a whisper.

"You need to stop looking for answers. We know who you are. We know what you're looking for."
