Chapter 25: LOL nope.

*Jaden's POV*

  "Lexii, do you want to sing in the song?" she looked at me and then out the window "Honestly... no." I gave her a warm smile, "That's okay. you really don't have to." She gave me a grin, "Thank you Jaden... it just makes me really nervous. Maybe when I man up." I laughed and put my hand on her lower thigh. When we got to the studio she sat on the couch while I did some recordings. She was smiling at first and really enjoyed it but after an hour I could understand her boredom. I came out, "You can do something if you want." She smiled and grabbed her bag and pulled out a notebook and pen. I had no clue what it was but now probably wasn't the time to ask. I went back and finished up for the day. When we wrapped it up she closed her book and put it back in her bag. I really wanted to know but I'll wait til later.

*Lexii's POV*

  We drove home and Jaden didn't really say much, he just had this look of wonder on his face. I got concerned. Was he mad that I didn't sing the chorus for him? I grabbed the hand that wasn't on the wheel and he turned to me. I asked him, "What's wrong?" He gave me a quick smile before turning back to the road, "Nothing. Just thinking." I faced the same direction he did, "Okay..." I didn't know what was up wth him but oh well.

  We stopped at the gas station when Jaden handed me two twenties and said, "Run in there and pay for the gas and buy TONS of candy, chips and sodas." I nodded and slipped his hoodie on with some sunglasses. I pulled the hoodie up and went in. I got chocolate, skittles, startburst, poprocks, flammin' hot cheetos, doritos, two 2 liters of Dr.Pepper and then payed. I walked out and went to the car. He smiled at me and nodded. We went home and carried it all to the game room, I never spent much time in here but I will be tonight.

*Jaden's POV*

  I had a plan for tonight. Lexii had been talking about how she missed the sleep overs she used to have with Alex, so me and her were gonna stay up all night with our snacks and talk, watch movies, all that. Maybe I could find out what that book was. We both took a quick shower and she come out in a sports bra and sweats like the night before... maybe this was what she always did but now she was comfortable. She walked in the gameroom, "So what are we doing in here?" I smirked, "Having a sleep over! Duh!" She laughed at me and nodded. We started playing some video games, listening to music, pigging out with junk food, pushup and sit up challenges and then when we started to chill we were just sitting and watching TV. I told her that it was a 'no phone' night so it was just her and I. She looked at me and said, "Jaden... do you think I'm stupid?" What was she talking about? Like... we never really talked about stuff like that but I never thought she was dumb. I don't even date girls that aren't some what smart. "No, why?" "Well it's just that I know we never talk about school, brains or things like that and I know you're supper smart and I was wondering? Because believe it or not, this is not how i am, or what i talk about usually." I knew where she was going with this... she was kind of geeky. "Well tell me about school, brains, or what you usually talk about with people." I smiled and had all attention on her. She took in a breath, "Well for starters I'm going into highschool next year in the IB program. I'll take all honors classes my freshman and sophmore year and then college courses my junior and senior year so by the time I graduate I will have two years of college already handeled. I plan on usuin that time to get my basics so when I go to college I can already start on my degree in psycology." I was shocked at this, I knew she was smart but not so advanced. To be honest, I was thrilled. Usually I recite poetry with my friends and ready big brainy books, now maybe that could be our thing. She continued once she saw I was happy, "I maintain a 4.0 GPA every year. I usually talk about poetry, write poetry, read poetry and study poetry. I'm a huge geek... but still." "Is that what was in the notebook?" She did a smile closed mouth smile then nodded, "Yeah..." "Can I read some?" She let out a sigh and then grabbed her notebook handing it to me slowly. I went to the last page to find the most recent. It read:

Do negative thoughts cross your mind

Because if that's the case I'll search for answeres in bewteens the lines

Just promise you won't mind

  I knew what this was about and it warmed my heart. But broke it at the same time. Lexii had left to go downstairs for something to drink as I flipped the pages and I found one that was very obvious:

Im not even sure what to say

four and a half months later

My joy high couldn't bring me any higher

  She was amazing! I read more and more until i had read them all. I ran downstairs and saw her sitting at the island. "They were beautiful. Now I don't just think you're smart... I think youre a genius. Now I have to let you read my poetry... It's only fair." She smiled at me, "You read and write poetry too?!" I smiled and went to get my book. The rest of the night we sat up reciting poetry, reading poems, and writing shorts ones. It was perfect.
