SILVER
I try to bite my lips to stop them from their uncontrollable chattering. Lee had managed to wash my hair without inflicting much damage on my head wound, after, which Elladan had to check immediately. Which is why I ended up getting out of the pond with nothing but the cloak to cover me, since they were still looking for something that would fit my small frame.
"Can you possibly hurry up in finding her something to wear?" I hear Lee ask as she approached one of the elven guards who stood watching over us. I had a permanent blush on my face because of the fact that I was entirely naked under the cloak. I mean, sure, it would be like standing in a towel but this is entirely different. I am never surrounded by handsome elves in my towel! I glance up at the clear sky to try and distract myself as Lee's voice drowns in the background as she pesters the guard to hurry up for I could get really sick if I don't get dressed properly soon. Without really thinking, I begin walking the expanse of the forest that surrounded us, making sure I did not stray too far. I would hate to think what would happen if I got into more trouble with nothing but a cloak on. I'd probably slit my own throat.
The earth was soft under my bare feet and surprisingly, it does not feel dirty at all. My feet barely sinks into the ground as it finds the soft grass. I still found it hard to accept that I really was in Middle-earth. The same place I have dreamed of and painted a million times as a child. A world I only knew from words and an imaginative director. My brother would love this place! Crap, I should seriously be thinking of ways to go back home. George would be worrying sick!
I spin too fast and almost stumble when I hear a branch breaking. It was then I realized I seemed to have walked too far and have lost sight of the bathing place and Lee. Diyos mio. I hold back a scream when I hear a loud crack and turn to find a stag a few feet away from me. It regards me for a moment, its dark pupils freezing me into place. Well, it is unnaturally huge. Are all animals these huge in this world?
"What in grey havens do you think you are doing?" A sharp voice calls and I suck in a breath, almost dropping the cloak entirely but managed to grab and hold it tight around me as I turned around to meet Elrohir's ice cold glare. I hear the Stag run off as my mind tries to formulate an answer.
"I- I was- I was...uh..." I stammer, feeling the heat flow through my body and up my neck. His glare was enough to make even the sun turn to ice. Why did he seem to hate me so much? It made me want to run after the Stag and take my chances in the wilderness.
"What are you doing?" I hear Lee's accusing voice right behind him. Moments later, she comes into view and I feel my whole being relax in relief as she pushed past him with a bundle of clothes in her hands. She hands them to me, which I accept awkwardly with one hand as the other gripped on the cloak so tightly my knuckles had turned white. She then turned and pointed an accusing glare at the dark haired elf before me whose eyes were already focused on something else.
"What did you do? I swear if you as so much raise your voice at her, I will make you wish you never found us in the first place!" She says, putting her hands on her hips. Elrohir shot her a more deadlier look before muttering something and stalking off. I watch Lee watch him walk off, shaking her head in annoyance. She turns to me, her lips a flat line on her face. I offer her a small smile which she returns as she helps me get dress into very ill-fitting clothes. The shirt practically drops to my thighs. Do not even get me started on the trousers. After struggling into the clothes and tying the necessary loose ends so I don't "accidentally" flash anything, we walk back to the camp were most of the elves stood waiting and alert looking more perfect like they were the ones who took a bath and not me. Elladan regards us with a smile, eyeing me from head to toe and continued to smile with an apologetic shrug.
