Strife's POV:

I sat at my desk filing through my papers from today. Meetings seemed I drone on and I managed to finally get a break, being a CEO is very difficult at times, but also very recording. Rain pattered against the windows as the lights flickered on and of due to the heavy rain storms. Lightning struck right outside the south face of the building, thunder followed straight after. I shivered from the draft which seeped in through the door.

A series of knocks snapped me out of my trance as I gazed upwards towards the source of the noise.

"Come in," I said blankly.

Bounding through the door came an excitable raven haired Wezen with a large smile plastered across his face. He galloped over to my desk and hopped up onto my desk. Glaring at the papers, he stuck out his tongue and began to paw at the papers.

"Stop it," I huffed, trying push him off my desk. "Parvis I'm trying to work!"

Parvis giggled as he continued mischievously pawing my papers and disorganising my desk. "Play with me Strifey!"

"I'm trying to work, please Parvis. I'll play with you later, just wait." I pushed Parv off my desk.

"Ow!!" He moaned as he hit the floor. Parvis sat back up and peeked over the desk, his eyes glimmering in the flickering light.

Suddenly, the lights shut off and we were plunged into pure darkness. I heard the sound of my pen pot falling off the desk and the swoosh of papers as they were flung to the side. Purring noises got louder each second, it began to get closer and closer. Shortly, I began to feel the vibrations rubbing up against my throat.

"Strifeeeeyy!" Parv cooed right in my ear, pushing his hand through my finely combed hair.

"Fuck sake Parv, don't mess up my hair!" I snapped pushing his hand away and redoing my hair.

Parv whined and got off my lap, I have no idea where he went, but guilt began to pool in my stomach when I heard a quiet sniff from the corner of the room. The glow of my eyes gave me a vague sense of where stuff was in my office, so I used that to roughly find my way to Parvis. Once the sniffling grew louder, I was able to find the corner where Parvis say huddled up.

Lookin straight at Parvis, I tilted my head and smiled slightly, "Hey, look I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you." I just got a small whimper in response. "Alex please, I really am sorry!"

Tears began to roll down my face as I waited for Parv to finally respond, hopefully he realised that I used Alex instead of Parv or Parvis. I turned around, deciding to just wait in my chair instead.

Slowly, I lowered myself into my chair and rested my feet on my desk, something I normally wouldn't do. However as I now had nothing on my desk, there was nothin to ruin. I tilted my head back and closed my eyes. Something hit my foot and I jumped, accidentally kicking whatever hit me.

"Ouch! Strifeykins!" Parvis groaned as he hit the floor.

"Oh my god Alex are you alright?" I panicked as I ran to him.

I held him tightly in my arms as he snuggled into my chest, purring contently.

"Love you Strifeykins."

"I love you more Parvis."
