Third Person:

Fiery pastel colours painted the sky as day turned to night. Two figures wandered aimlessly across the barren wasteland which had once been bright and blooming. War could do a lot of things, disastrous things. War could burn cities whole. War could demolish wildlife. War could even change people, emotionally and physically.

Eyes bright blue, a skilled swordsman named Xephos trudged across the burnt grass, listening to the way it crunched. Corpse after corpse he looted, waiting for that perfect haul. Not many people had anything precious on them as they went into battle, maybe a ring or necklace, but that's the best so far. Very few people survived the massacre, if you did you would have to wander forever to find any sign of life.

With Xephos not being from this planet, he was used to the harshness that war brought. Lumia was deadly to anything, those who lived there wanted to leave, although they couldn't. Xephos had come with another boy called Strife, he hadn't seen him since before the war. Chances were that Strife would either be dead, or close to death. Everyone Xephos had known was dead, he saw them get brutally murdered and narrowly escaped with his own life.

From seeing no one for days, maybe even weeks, he had began to grow lonely and would wish for the signs of life from anyone. A single tear slipped from his eye, but he quickly wiped it away, trying to seem strong in front of his fallen soldiers. Step by step Xephos began to feel himself grow weaker. Food was scarce in the wilderness, but anything edible he would eat. Lifting his head to further his vision, he saw a small pond, no bigger than a single bed, but it would do. Rushing over towards it, he threw his clothes off and began to wash himself off.

A few miles north, the demigod who was the main cause for the war floated around. Every body he had seen reminded him of the fact that nothing he could do would prevent this. Each corpse seemed to speak to him, as if to tell him that he would never end up like them. Changing his gaze, he saw in the distance a pale blue light irradiating from a pond. It was like nothing he had ever seen before, so without hesitation, he sped over towards it.

Xephos pulled on his boxers and sat at the edge of the small pond. Slowly looking up at the starry sky, he smiled slightly at how beautiful it was. Anything that could remind him of his home planet made him smile. Running his hand through his hair, he felt a sudden change for wind, before hearing something land in front of him. Startled, he kept up and pulled his sword out from behind him. I gong forwards, whatever it was that had landed held his arms and slowly shushed him.

"Don't worry, I'm a friend." A voice spoke above Xephos. It was deep and had an edge of mischief to it, something a you god would have.

"Who are you?" H Xephos spoke hoarsely.

"Well, let's just say I'm the man in the skies." Then it hit him.

Instantly relaxing, Xephos looked up towards the newly named man in the skies. He took in every feature: the short auburn hair, golden glowing eyes, buck-toothed smirk, long gold trimmed coat, pirate styled outfit, and finally the aura of power which surrounded him.

"I-I'm so sorry Ridgedog, I should've known!" Xephos spluttered out.

"Eas-" Ridge began before being interrupted.

"No I really am! I should've known that it was you, I mean the sudden wind change, the power felt, even th-" Xephos was cut off by a connection between there lips, or more simply a kiss.

He tensed up before relaxing into it and kissing back.

"You talk too much."

The darkness of the night was drowned out by their alien glows. The darkness would be no longer, as long as they were together.

AN-

I know no one actually suggested this but I felt like I should do one as I haven't in a while.
