HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY! Even though I know you're not reading this, I hope you have a great day. Anyway, here's another story for you guys!
***
Harry and Louis were having a lazy day at home, enjoying their day off. They spent the majority of their time cuddled up on the couch watching a marathon of movies while covered in a warm, fluffy blanket.
"I love you," Louis said, leaning down to press a kiss to Harry's forehead.
"I love you, too, boo," Harry said, sighing at Louis's touch and stretching up to return the gesture by kissing Louis on the cheek.
Louis wrapped his arm around Harry's middle and pulled him closer to his chest, making sure that there was no space between them. They sat there in silence, barely paying attention to the movie as they stared at each other, giving each other soft kisses and gentle caresses.
Louis's stomach growled, causing Harry to look up at him, his brows creased.
"Hungry, babe?" he questioned.
Louis nodded. "Yeah, but I'd rather stay here on the couch with you," he said, pressing another kiss to the top of Harry's head, loving the feel of his curls brushing against his chin.
"No, if you're hungry, we should eat," he said, shaking his head. "It's been a long time since lunch, and I'm beginning to get a bit hungry myself."
Louis sighed. "Alright. If you insist," he said dramatically, causing Harry to chuckle as he got up from the sofa and pulled Louis up as well and the two boys made their way to the kitchen. Louis pulled himself up to sit on top of the counter and watched at Harry rummaged around and gathered things to start cooking supper. Harry was stirring his concoction on the stove when he turned to face Louis.
"Hey, do you think you could stir this while I go have a wee?" he questioned.
"Sure. No prob," Louis said, jumping down from the counter.
"Seriously, Lou. Keep stirring it. I don't want it to burn and have to start all over," Harry said in a warning tone.
"Don't worry about it, babe. I got it," he said, giving his husband a quick salute before going to the stove and taking the spoon from Harry's hand to stir the food.
"Okay. I'll be right back," he said, and left to use the loo.
Louis kept stirring, enjoying the nice aroma coming from the pot, when he heard his phone sound from the living room. He sighed, realizing he'd left it on the couch. Figuring he'd only be gone for two seconds to go retrieve it, he quickly jogged across the kitchen to the living room where he picked up his phone from the couch, seeing that he had a text from Niall.
He opened the text and laughed, before typing out a response. They messaged back and forth a few times until Niall said he had to go, and Louis shoved the phone in his pocket and made to return to the kitchen. He froze in his tracks, however, when he saw smoke filling the air, giving the kitchen a cloudy look. Louis pulled down his sleeve over his left hand and covered his nose and mouth with it as he ran to the stove, unsure of what to do. Just then, he heard a yell from the doorway.
"LOUIS! What did you do? I was gone for two minutes and this happens!" Harry shouted, his hands in the air gesturing to the smoke.
"I'm sorry! I just left for a second to get my phone!" Louis said, trying to defend himself.
"Sure," was all Harry said as he dashed to the stove and turned it off, removing the pot from the hot burner.
A shrill noise pierced through the air, making the boys jump. Louis covered his ears with his hands.
