Niall took a seat across the table from Liam in the little kitchenette on the bus. Harry was at the stove scrambling some eggs and frying up some bacon as the two boys waited patiently. Niall looked around the room and raised an eyebrow.
"Where's Lou? Surely he's up...we'll be at the studio before too long," Niall said.
Harry turned around briefly to glance at the boys before returning his attention back to the stove.
"I didn't get him up. I assumed he'd set his own alarm like he usually does," Harry said. He tilted his head to the side slightly. "It's a bit strange, though, that he didn't wake up with all of the noise and ruckus of the rest of us getting ready," he said, shrugging. "Would one of you mind waking him?"
Liam nodded, but remembered that Harry had his back to him, so he spoke up. "Yeah, I'll go wake the lazy bum. Don't let Niall eat all the bacon while I'm gone," Liam said, smiling.
"Will do," Harry chuckled, and Niall simply scowled as he glanced over at Liam, muttering something inaudibly under his breath.
Liam made his way to the bunks and stopped beside Louis's closed curtain. He could hear Louis's deep breathing before he pulled back the fabric, knowing that he was still, indeed, asleep.
Liam saw Louis curled up on his bunk sleeping peacefully. He hated to wake him, but knew that he didn't have a choice and they were running short on time.
"Louis," Liam called out, trying to wake the sleeping lad. Louis didn't even stir. Liam called his name a little louder this time, and very slowly, Louis's eyes opened. He looked dazed and still out of it, but at least he was awake. "Time to get up, Tommo," Liam said. Louis stared up at him and blinked a couple times, but made no move to get up. "Today, please. We've got to get moving. Harry's cooking breakfast, so I suggest you hurry up if you want any of it. Nialler looked particularly hungry today," he said with a smile before heading back to the kitchen.
Harry finished up the food and dished it up, placing the plates on the table. Niall and Liam dug in eagerly while Harry took a seat beside Niall.
"Did you get him up?" Harry questioned as he buttered up some toast.
Liam nodded, swallowing his bite of bacon before responding. "Yeah. He didn't get up, but he's awake. I'd expect that he's getting ready now."
The boys finished up their meal making idle chitchat. When they were done, Niall went to sit in the lounge and watch some telly, while Harry began washing the dishes. Liam handed him his plate and glass.
"You really don't have to do that, you know. I can take care of the mess while you relax with Niall," Liam offered. Harry shook his head and shrugged.
"It's really not a big deal. Habit, really. I'm used to cooking and cleaning when me and Lou are at home. I like doing all the little domestic things, anyway," Harry explained. Liam raised an eyebrow.
"You sure? I really wouldn't mind," Liam tried again.
"No, really it's fine. Go enjoy yourself. I'll be done in no time," he said, playfully hitting his hip against Liam's, making him chuckle.
"Alright, alright. If you insist," he said, heading out of the kitchen.
Before he made it to the lounge, however, he thought he'd check up on Louis. It had been awfully quiet, and Louis was known for being loud 24/7, even when he's simply getting ready in the morning. Liam made his way over to the bunkroom and saw Louis's curtain only half closed and he could hear his even breaths coming from the other side of it.
