Harry returned to his hotel room after spending the afternoon shopping and enjoying all of the sights that L.A. has to offer. Harry always enjoyed spending his time off in the star-studded city, and this was no exception.

He tossed his shopping bags on the floor beside his suitcase before plopping onto the bed and pulling off his brown suede boots. He got himself comfortable on the bed, fluffing up some pillows and placing them behind his back as he leaned against the headboard. He grabbed his phone from his pocket and scrolled through Instagram, uploading a picture of some rather tasteful graffiti he'd found that morning, and then headed over to Twitter and tweeted something about sunshine rays and summer days. He then browsed through his newsfeed, getting caught up on the latest news in the celebrity world.

He was about to log off when a particular article caught his eye. He clicked on the link and it took him to another webpage and he tapped his fingers anxiously as he held his phone, waiting for the page to load so that he could read the article. He was hoping that he'd read the title wrong, that it wouldn't really be about what he thought it said. That would be impossible, wouldn't it?

Finally, the page loaded, and Harry's eager eyes roved over the screen, drinking up the words, and his heart sunk like a stone into his stomach as the words soaked in. His first thought was denial. No. Definitely not. There was no possible way that Louis was going to be a father. He was gay, after all. They'd been married for nearly two years...if he wasn't gay, then that was news to him. He knew what they've done in bed, and no straight guy would do that, right? He wasn't bi, either, so how could this be true?

Trying to reassure himself that the article was fake, just vying for attention in the media world, Harry looked it up on a few other sites, but he soon wished that he hadn't. He found some articles...articles, as in plural, more than one, that had direct quotes from Briana herself confirming the rumors, that she was indeed expecting a baby and there was no doubt that Louis was the father.

Harry dropped the phone onto the bed, his hands shaking, not sure how to process all of this. He figured it had to be management...but the more he thought about it, he wasn't so sure. He knew that people would do desperately stupid things for money or fame, but would someone really stoop so low as to pretend to be pregnant, to fake the whole thing and pretend to have a child? That would be something that would impact the rest of your life if the truth never came out, always having to cover it up and pretend that some kid was your own. Harry shook his head. No, he couldn't see someone doing something so elaborate just for kicks. It had to be true.

Just as that thought crossed his mind, Harry felt sick. How could Louis do something like that to him? Was he not enough for him that he had to go sleep with someone else to get some satisfaction? And a girl, no less, when he didn't even fancy women at all, last he checked. Plus, he and Louis had complete trust in one another, never afraid that the other would go behind their back. Well, he guessed that Louis broke that trust.

How could Louis do that, knowing how badly Harry wanted children of his own, how much he wished he could physically have children himself so that he and Louis could have their own little family? This felt like a slap in the face; if Harry couldn't give him children, then he'd get them from someone else. It just didn't make sense, though, because they had discussed adoption for whenever they are allowed to come out of the closet, and Louis had seemed totally on board with the idea.

Even if it ended up being a drunken mistake, it didn't change the fact that Louis broke Harry's trust and slept with someone else, and that wasn't something that he was too eager to forgive. Louis's mistake would impact both of them and forever strain their relationship, and he wasn't sure if he could handle that.
