"Thank you and goodnight!" Harry yelled out into his microphone, running after the boys off the stage.
Once they were backstage, Harry began coughing, leaning forward with his hands on this knees as the coughs wracked his body repeatedly. Louis was quick to his side, rubbing his back until he was finished.
"You alright, babe?" Louis asked with concern. "You're starting to sound congested."
Harry nodded. "I'm alright," he answered, standing up straight again.
"You sure? You've had that cold for, what, a week now? It seems to be getting worse, not better," Louis said, handing him a bottled water, which he drank from gratefully.
Harry shrugged. "I don't know. I'm sure it'll go away after a bit," Harry said. Louis didn't look too sure, but he let it go.
The boys all piled into the bus and took off on the road. Once inside, Harry sat on the sofa with a sigh. Louis looked over at him, hating seeing him be so miserable for so long.
"Babe, would you like a cuppa?" he asked, and Harry nodded as he closed his eyes and leaned back into the cushions. Louis looked at him a bit longer before turning and heading over to the little kitchen to make some tea.
Liam was sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal. He waved at Louis while still holding his spoon. Louis mumbled out a hello as he shuffled over to sink and filled the kettle before placing it on the stove. He then went over to the table and sat heavily in his chair, propping his elbows on the hard surface and resting his chin in his hands.
"You alright, Lou?" Liam questioned, chewing on another bite of Honey Bunches of Oats.
Louis nodded tiredly. "Yeah, I'm just worried about Haz. I mean, he's had that awful cold for a full week now, and it seems to be getting worse, not better. I just don't know what to do," he sighed.
"He'll be alright," Liam comforted, patting Louis on the shoulder. "It's just a cold, and it'll clear up sooner or later. I mean, I've had colds that have lasted for two or three weeks before," he said, shrugging.
"Yeah, but it just seems so bad, especially today. He seems so tired all the time and his cough has become congested. He even had an asthma attack today from coughing so much. I told him he should sit the concert out, but he refused and told me he was fine. I just don't know anymore," Louis explained.
Liam raised an eyebrow at him. "I didn't know about the asthma attack. That's not good. He doesn't get those very often," he said, frowning. "Well, I guess just keep an eye on him, then. That's all you really can do, anyway," he said, tilting his bowl up to drink the last of the milk in his bowl. Louis nodded.
Liam got up and took his dishes to the sink, quickly washing and drying them before putting them away.
"Well, let me know if you need anything, alright? I'm gonna go watch a movie with Niall. You guys can join us, if you want," he said, stopping in front of Louis. "Try to smile, mate. Chin up!" he said, trying to lighten the mood. Louis gave him a brief, small smile. Seeming satisfied, Liam left the room, leaving Louis on his own.
The kettle began whistling, and Louis quickly got up and turned off the stove. He grabbed a mug, filled it with the hot water, and plopped a tea bag inside, allowing it to steep before adding in some honey, just the way Harry liked it. Louis walked back to the lounge, the steaming mug cupped in his small hands.
"Love, here's your tea," Louis said softly. Harry opened his eyes, a smile forming on his lips as his eyes took in his adorable husband standing there with a concerned expression on his face, his small hands barely big enough to wrap around the oversized mug. Louis raised an eyebrow at him questioningly.
