"Ooo, this is my favorite part," Harry said from his spot on the couch, his back pressed to Louis's chest as Louis held him in his arms. Louis removed his gaze from the tv where they were watching a movie and looked down at Harry, his mouth curling into a smile.

"Which part? This?" Louis questioned, leaning down and pressing a kiss to the top of Harry's head. Harry looked up, turning his face up to look at Louis. Louis met his eyes before planting his lips on Harry's, kissing him deeply and passionately. When they finally pulled away, they were both breathing heavily.

"This part. Definitely this part," Harry said between breaths, smiling as Louis chuckled. Harry leaned forward to initiate another kiss, when the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it," Louis sighed.

"Let's just ignore it, babe. If it's someone we know, they probably would've called first, anyway," Harry said.

Louis shook his head. "No, I'm gonna get it. It'll only take a second," he said, patting Harry on the thigh to get him to move so he could get up. Harry groaned and reluctantly got off his lap.

Louis walked over to the front door, opening it to reveal Niall standing on the porch, leaning slightly onto one of the porch columns.

"Niall? It's late. Why are you here? Is something wrong?" Louis asked, opening the door widely for Niall to come inside, but he didn't move.

Niall coughed into his fist before answering. "Um," he hesitated. "I'm not feeling that great. I was wondering if...I really don't want to be alone," he said hoarsely, staring down at his feet.

Louis took a good look at him and noticed that he seemed pale under the glow of the porch light. Niall shivered, and Louis realized that Niall was probably leaning on the column not to be lazy, but because he was weak.

"Of course! Come in! How long have you been feeling poorly?" Louis asked as he went up to Niall and allowed him to lean the majority of his weight onto him as he helped him walk inside the house.

"Since this morning," Niall said, before coughing harshly.

"Should've come sooner, mate," Louis responded, and soon the two had made it into the living room, Harry raising his eyebrows in confusion.

"What's going on here?" Harry asked, his hand gesturing back and forth between the two.

Louis rolled his eyes. "Calm down, Harry. Niall's not feeling well and he didn't want to be alone at his place, so I told him he could stay here. You okay with that?" Louis explained, not waiting for a response as he helped Niall onto the couch.

It wasn't long before Harry and Louis were seated on the little love seat, Niall sprawled out on the sofa, while they watched Netflix together. Louis had wasted no time in covering Niall with a blanket and bringing him medicine and something to drink. Normally, Harry wouldn't have minded taking care of their sick friend, but they had finally gotten a few days off, and he wanted to spend the time with his husband.

Harry grumbled as he watched Niall lay on the couch that just minutes ago, he and Louis had shared, on the verge of a very long-overdue make out session. Wanting to salvage what was left of the evening, Harry leaned over to kiss Louis, but Louis pushed him away.

"Sorry, love. I was just about to go get another blanket for Niall," Louis said, giving Harry a quick peck on the cheek before getting up from his seat. Harry sighed. Maybe they'd have a chance the next night.
