   "Dad!"
   "Da-Da!"
   "Jack!"
Irene kneeled on the floor next to her father as Jackie ran upstairs. She emerged back downstairs carrying a syringe. "What's that for?" Irene asked.
"We've never told you," Jackie began quickly lifting Jack's shirt, "But your father has Addison's disease. This is a cortisol injection."
She administered the injection and sent Irene for a pillow to place under Jack's head until he felt strong enough to move to bed. Irene sat nervously waiting for her father's eyes to flick open. When they did, he looked drained. "Well, I suppose you know now."
"Dad, it's alright. I'm just glad you're alright."
"I'm fine," he muttered trying to move.
"Jack, just relax for a little while. You don't need to jump up and run a marathon."
Jack rolled his eyes, "Yes, Doctor Jackie."
Jackie took Caroline up to her bedroom while Irene sat with her father until he felt strong enough to walk. When he felt better, Irene helped him to stand and carefully led him to his bedroom. "Can you hand me my night shirt and shorts?"
"Sure, Dad. Anything else?" she asked handing him his pajamas.
"I don't think so. Goodnight, kiddo."
   "Night, daddo."
Irene made her way to find her mother, "Are you alright?" Jackie asked walking her towards her room.
"I'm fine. Just a little shook up, I suppose."
Jackie nodded and patted her shoulder, "Try to get some sleep. I love you."
   "Love you too."
Irene laid down on her bed and couldn't help but think, "What other things have they not told me?"
