Everyone had shifted seats when the mood in the room had gotten lighter, aka when things were sorted out and forgiven. My head was rested on Cody's side, his arm wrapped around me as I played with his fingers lightly and asked him questions. My sister and Maxx sat across from us, talking about whatever had come to their minds. In the moment I was happy. Things seemed great.
But I knew that things wouldn't get easier. That picture, was just the beginning of something big. Even though it didn't show through my actions, my thoughts whirled and fear of the future was setting in. He had told me a lot about what went on in his life. The tours, people he had met, and songs he was writing.
"So, do you ever write songs about people?" I asked, I could feel him let out a small laugh.
"I try my best not to Taylor Swift people.." He said, "Do you know who that is?"
"No.." I mumbled. "But I'll look her up later."
"Well, I don't do that." I smiled up at him and nodded.
"Oh, dear.." My head snapped up, seeing my grandmother grinning in the hallway, quickly approaching us all. "Dashing young men are in my house." Cody chuckled, and Ana stood to her feet. Grabbing my grandmas hand.
"Grams..." She pulled away and brushed some hair out of her face, walking to the middle of the room and winking at me.
"Two handsome boys with my two beautiful babies." She said in awe. Both Maxx and Cody were laughing quietly now. My sister grabbed her arm again and pulled her back a bit.
"I recorded X-Files for you," Ana said happily, making my grandma turn to her. "I can make you some popcorn and you can go watch it in your room."
"You got me there sweetie." She pointed at her, looking back at all of us before going. "Treat my babies right," continuing "or you'll have to deal with old grandma here."
"Yes ma'am." Cody replied, looking down at me. I smiled at him.
"Good boy." She looked at my sister. "Anastasia, I like extra butter." She hinted before trailing to her room. Ana went to the kitchen to make the popcorn and I rested back in the position I was in before my grandma had gotten home.
"She's very in your face, but calm and cool at the same time." Maxx pipped up. I turned my head to him and furrowed my eyebrows. His eyes caught mine "Ana."
"Ah, I see." I giggled. "Don't worry, she likes you too."
"How do you know?"
"Maxx..Buddy..Even I know that one." Cody chimed in.
"Yeah, she's been literally on top of you all night."
"Cool." He nodded with a giant grin on his face. When Ana got back, her smile seemed to be bigger as well. She returned to her seat and cleared her throat a bit as if to grab our attention.
"Since we're all such good friends..." She continued. "I think we should only do what real friends do, and..." Her voice lowered "Have a sleepover." Maxx's eyes widened and we nodded his head quickly.
"Yep, yeah, yes." He rambled "Only great friends have sleepovers.. and I think that we all have become wonderful friends."
"Actually, I don't really know you that well..." He cut me off.
"Then this'll let us get to know each other better." I laughed, and so did Cody.
"Fine, I guess we could."~~~
It was late, without checking I would say 1 in the morning. We had all made our way to Ana's room, due to it being larger. Cody sat on her bed and I laid next to him, while my sister and Maxx sat on her tiny futon.
"I'm tired." She whined. I yawned lightly, sitting up.
"I guess we could go and chill out in my room." I said to Cody. He nodded and we stood to our feet. We said goodnight to Maxx and Ana, and I led him to my room. He shut the door behind him and sat on my bed as I walked to my closet.
"What are you doing?" He asked, watching me walk to it.
"I'm gonna change into my pajamas."
"Oh," His eyes grew "Okay." I shut myself in my closet and I could hear him laugh loudly. When I finished I stepped out and he was laying on my bed, face up, still laughing.
"What?" I asked running over and jumping onto my bed. I crawled halfway on top of him, looking down at his goofy smile.
"I thought.." He stopped himself, putting his hands over his face and shaking his head. "I'm tired."
"No, no, no, tell me what you thought." I poked his stomach playfully. His hands dropped.
"I thought you weren't going into your closet." As I finally understood, I hit his arm and started to laugh as well.
"Perv."
"I'm sorry!" I crawled off of him and got underneath my covers, he followed behind me. I flicked my lamp off and pulled the covers further over me. Just as I was shutting my eyes I felt two warm arms sneakily wrap around me. Slowly I was brought closer to him and.. I liked it. I kept my eyes shut, acting asleep. He didn't say a word. As I actually started to fall asleep I felt warm breath on my neck. I smiled slightly, trying not to give myself away. That's when I felt it. The feeling of soft lips against my cheek, with just a hint of cold. Lip ring.
I turned myself so that I was facing him and opened my eyes, leaning over and pecking his lips lightly, then burying my head in his chest. His arms tightened around me, and I slipped into a happy slumber.
